Any hope for this baby?

I sprouted this seed in a paper towel, transferred to a Jiffy pod, then put the Jiffy into soil in a cup a couple days later, cutting the pod wrap of course. It shocked and the next morning we found it doubled over and propped it up with two toothpicks. Now it appears to still be alive, but it's not thriving. Any hope for this little girl?

I would maybe add some more medium to just above where the stem gets back to normal. This will help to prop it up more naturally without the toothpicks, and also improve your chances of it rooting well and strengthening up on its own without any further intervention.

Yeah, I'm sure someone remembers the plastic forks in my grow journal because I was being a sissy with the light levels, and they stretched like a Yoga instructor in my tent LOL. Once I moved them to their new pots, I buried the evidence of my screw up, and planted the baby a bit deeper in the pot, and just covered most of the stem in new soil. Stem turned into another section of roots, and all was in the clear bro

I believe Hydro Red gave the best advice.

If that doesn't work nothing will.

If it does survive, the buried stem will root out and provide a larger root mass.

I always add media to my leggy sprouts for this reason.

I always plant popped seeds in HALF a cup of soil...As the seedling slowly stretches up I just keep adding soil untill full

Hydrored and hbz are spot on. The only thing I would add is the medium you add I would pre wet (don't drown) with rooting hormone. Aloe vera water diluted, coconut water diluted or the king willow water (my preference as just hormones and no nutes) and it will take off and root rapidly from top of soil and all way down.

As stated above ....This method I've been using for a long time now..A lil more info is I always use happy frog soil for popped seeds..And once the seedling grows to the top of the cup and it's finally full of dirt I water em down with ...Per Gallon/ one teaspoon of technoflora water soluble kelp..Four drops of super thrive and a tsp. of Botanicare Calmag...A week ot so later i put a pinch of Gaia green grow or Roots organic terp tea grow...Before i started using dry ide use tbsp of earth juice grow..Once that shit kicks in its time to figure out what size shoes do you have room for👊🏻

Honestly, I wouldn't waste the dirt or time . Cull it and pop more . I used to never kill anything and that has back fired on me multiple times .

But all jokes aside, I'd start over if you have more seeds. Some of the seeds I just started sprouted and dampened off, it sucks but it happens.

Something I've done with stretched seedlings like that. ... If you're careful about it, you can dig a small hole next to where the stem comes out of the medium, loop the stem down into that new hole and bury it 👍 Bury it so the seedling is at a "normal" height from the medium, lower your light or move the seedling up closer to the light 👍👍 ideally do this without kinking or hard-folding the stem, just basically loop it down into a new hole if this makes sense

I like that. As it is, I added a little more soil and rooting compound, but from there this one is on it's own. I won't cull it yet as it still have small true leaves, but I did decide to try popping a few more beans.

I think I average about six seeds, for every plant that I end up smoking.
Turn the tables.
Put 10 of them down, and keep the best.

If you gunna keep it I would just get some good light on it and make sure your climate is good for young plants/ germination. What kind of light now?

Edit: at first glance i thought the support stick was the stem. And my brain didn’t even register the stem. I would def bury it and hope for the best…

Nice. I currently have couplet dozen females to murder if I can’t give away some of them to friends. I think I average 1 in 4 seeds if you count the boys that get culled too. But definitely plan for double the girls that I need to choose from to fill flower tents
