There is no helping some of them sometimes which made me think it was genetics. Had a couple strains do it too
could be an individual genetic sensitivity to slightly high N. The other plants from the same line might not show. I see some plants do this when I transplant to hot organic soil. it usually goes away once the roots get used to the higher nutrient levels. Just my observation.

I’ve been following a few pages on ig that do a lot of root over rocks and such. Didn’t look too difficult, so tonight I took one of my Sin N Juice clones that I’ve been topping and training and we’re going to see what happens!
Found this car planter that I covered the opening with a hard plastic. Took one of the girlfriends shallow baking dishes (she knows I took it!) and lined the bottom with perlite since there are no drain holes. E24AB491-D786-424E-BC60-4F1DBFF0067F.jpeg 9BA05EF7-E944-4465-83FF-203A583C8984.jpeg
Next, was a layer of soil and placement of the car. Then I took a soil and worm casting mix and made it pretty wet and stuck it to the car.

Next was the first ring (a cut up nursery pot that was pretty flexible) around the car. Then I pulled the root mass apart and did the best o could to string them out without damaging them. I probably could have trimmed quite a few of the thin hairlike roots, but being my first attempt, I didn’t want to damage it too much.

Finally, placed the plant on top of the car and place the roots kind of where I wanted them to go and covered with soil. Added the second ring and more soil. Placed back under the light with a little leaf trim and now we wait!

Note: the solo cups in the dome are the Pure Michigan F3’s, Dynoberry Bites and Booba. DBB seeds cracked in about 12 hours, Booba in under 24 hours and the PM’s, 3 cracked within 36 hours and the other two appeared to be starting to split. I hand cracked one just for my own experimental purposes. Now they are domed up, on a heating pad and growing legs.

I didn’t realize that I haven’t updated the pictures of them in my own journal ??‍♂️. Two of them are chopped and hanging right now! Here’s the most recent pictures. Those all look great! 1/3 and 2/4 both seem to have some similarities between each pair. Do their smells seem to match up closely like that at all too?

All three Gelato/Ecto Coolers, even the neon green one all smell the exact same….fresh peeled oranges dipped in a very sweet smelling paint thinner! Number 1, the taller one has a touch less orange smell and a little more of the thinner smell. The Mo Swayze smells of a musky earth…….I want to say it smells kushy, but I don’t have enough experience with kushes yet to pin down the smell. It just reminds of some bud I got at a dispensary that’s called ‘Willies Kush Cake’.

To you, does kush smell like sweet earth, like a forest floor after a rainstorm, something kinda like that?

I love that kushy, tushy -ness...sweet booty ass-ness... my bad... I'm might be getting off point here...kushy is not booty...but, maybe not...I am a bit more of an ass man than a titty man, idk?, I speak out my ass at times?... In just here to enjoy the show...carry on!?

Updating my grow journal to something current!
I flipped this tent last night. IMG_1951.jpeg
In the left in the blue bag and the black/red bag are both Creamy Greases (V). Seeing if they don’t mind a smaller root ball or if they want more leg room. I’ve found her to be a fairly forgiving plant. IMG_1952.jpeg
IMG_1953.jpeg
This is a seed that i found in some Lift Ticket I grew from Swamp Donkey Seeds. The fastest grower out of a total of 11 seeds!

IMG_1955.jpeg
I don’t have solo pictures of the rest, but a rundown. The far back right two in blue bags are Apple Fritter clones, the black bag in the far left back is a Detroit Lemonade from @HydroRed Even though he told me to discard them, I had to try. Two of the three beans I cut last night because as Red said, they’re garbage! The black bag in the middle on the right is a cut of Wedding Cake I’ve had for almost 4 years now. When I grew it out right, it had a really awesome cheese flavor! (Queue @Psychobilly squeals!🤣)

The Creamy Greases has a V after it, because I have two CG phenos, V and JT……. V is for Violet and JT is for Joy Turner. I’ll see if anyone can figure it before I dig up more Creamy Greases pictures. I have been trying my hand at breeding and Creamy Greases is my test subject!

LOL! I've only had Wedding Cake like once or twice, but it smelled like Cheese ??? :)

The Detroit Lemonade, I know, Red says they're no good, but BRO.... They produce SO good, and get SO pretty... He said they have intersexing issues, but outside here in the Mitten, they did good. I did find a few seeds in the buds, but, it wasn't enough for me to just chop such beautiful plants.

^ From my Detroit Lemonade outdoor from 2020. I mean, I barely wanted to trim that, let alone trash all 3 plants LOL.

Bro Creamy Greases is another one I finally got to run :) BEAUTIFUL plant, frosty, and did really well outside this season :)

I have always thought that was a clever strain name.

Prolly nostalgia, as we used to call blotter, 'tickets to the big show.'

Well done, Zed.
Everything looks so stinking healthy
The original pack I got from Swamp Donkey is a cross of Mr. Danks Golden Ticket x Cherry Mountain. The name works in two ways for me. I labeled the first one as LT1 which is an engine in one of my cars and I love skiing and you need a lift ticket to ski!
The two plants that I grew from the pack were both pretty uniform with structure, smell and taste. Pretty frosty with a creamy rhubarb flavor. I got three seeds from one of them - not sure if it was intersexing or another hermie in the tent pollinated it. I had some major hermie problems about a year ago…..I think my environment was just out of shape. Seems like everyone is thriving now.

curious if you can think of what was most changed in your environment that seemed to calm everything down? Also, what size is that cutie patootie lil blue pot? 1 gallon? sorry if you mentioned that and I missed it.

The blue pots are Honest Bags and they are little 1 gallon pots. They work really great if I must be honest. I bought 6 of them when he had a deal going.
Environment change. First and foremost, I cleaned, cleaned and cleaned some more! Went trough the flower room and tent with bleach one day, 24 hours later sprayed H2O2 and then 24 hours later I sprayed bleach again. I inadvertently brought my temps up with another light and that’s when things started to boom and I noticed the PM not coming back.
The number one factor I believe to make a huge difference, is my attitude!!! I was in a bad spot mentally about a year ago and I really just didn’t care…..I was going through the motions, even with my grow.

Took these Friday and forgot to post them. One week after flip and the stretch is on!! IMG_2049.jpeg
The two Apple Fritters are 1/3 to 1/2x taller already. Probably should have put them in a little bigger pot.
IMG_2055.jpeg
The Lift Ticket is growing awesome. I love the structure and its vigor, BUT I am closely watching it as I may have found a ball sack or two.
IMG_2058.jpeg
IMG_2059.jpeg
Then we have the two Creamy Greases V pheno. The smaller 1 gallon plant is on par with the 3 gallon plant. It’s hard to tell in pictures, but the only real difference so far is the branches are a little more stout on the 3 gallon. She doesn’t require much special attention anyway. She trudges through quite a bit. IMG_2053.jpeg IMG_2050.jpeg
Now we have the Detroit Lemonade. She had one limp branch that I can’t figure out. Tied it up for a day or two and it’s “tough” again, but after a week in flower, I still haven’t noticed a female hair…🤔
Does she take longer to develop her parts? We’ll have to wait and see. IMG_2057.jpeg

Day 35 and Lift Ticket 2.0 is doing well. The buds aren’t super dense or thick and they are frosty-ish, but the smells coming from her will smash your nostrils! A little rub and sniff gives you an initial punch of a rotten funk that quickly turns to a strong rhubarb candy smell that is loud and full throttle. She must be packing on the weight though. The branches are pretty thick, but I still had to tie up a couple yesterday. IMG_2319.jpeg IMG_2323.jpeg IMG_2320.jpeg IMG_2321.jpeg

Also at day 35 is Detroit Lemonade. She’s tall and she’s lanky with some stout buds. Smells still are not quite there…..a slight hint of lemon grass followed by grass clippings 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️. She was slower than the rest to start flowering, so maybe she’s just taking her time developing. I will still continue to love her like a Red-headed step child!
Also, not sure how she got pregnant, but there’s that too. IMG_2311.jpeg IMG_2308.jpeg IMG_2309.jpeg
