I think it's about over here, the woods is getting pretty grown up. I haven't been but from what I understand it was a good year and I'm not surprised, we had lots of thunder while they were in. It might sound crazy...but thunder breaks those s o b's loose.

I like to get pics of the little things too, I watched this guy do nothing for quite a while. He was a wee shit for sure lol.

Awesome pics, thanks for sharing. Love the songs of the tree frogs.

Almost but not quite a year ago for these pics. I've been checking my spots on our property and all I've found so far is a tick on the back of my neck.
There are some that found some in my county here in Michigan that was in an area that had some logging done. I believe if we can get a decent rain,
they'll start popping up.

We have found ONE Morel so far. A Black Morel that popped up in the front yard on the Wife's Birthday the other day. I've got a few spots I check for them, mostly in the front, and then I have a honey hole in the side yard where I usually get at least a bowl full of them each year. The Black Morels come up first, and then the Grey and Blonde ones are after that, so I'm hoping to find some soon :)

Speaking of not quite here yet. Here are some pics from prior years of birds that have yet to return.

Brown Thrashers - Mom feeding one of her young.

Baltimore Orioles. We fed two families of them last year from their return until they left the 2nd week of September. Grape jelly in a couple of dog
bowls with 3 1/4 inch holes in the bottom for drainage on rainy days. An an orange cut up. Usually two halves.

Lol. Blacks on blondes.... hahaha
Awesome, looks like a super tasty snack.
Just a heads up keep an eye out for ticks, been so dry, we had next to no snow. Felt one crawling up my leg today. As much as I don't like bug dope I hate those things worse. My mom said she found one on her too. Hope we get the rain they're forecasting.

Yeah I don't like tics either, they freak me out lol. Luckily all those were in the front yard, so I wasn't out in the woods or anything.

Hope you're getting some of this lovely rain bro! I looked outside after waking up and it started pouring! Super happy about that, my spots should produce good now lol.

We got some overnight but nothing during the morning or day. Barely wet the ground.

Didn’t know quite where to put these pics being that it’s the brothers effort not mine but I thought he’s done a great job so I’d like to share . One plant trained and supported in a 4 x 6 area roughly . It’s from an accidental pollination of a Glam Grapes clone I gave him . The male was a Blackberry. He’s about as casual a person as you’d find . So chilled I’m surprised he doesn’t stop breathing from time to time . Thanks so much Ramjet. I'll let her know. She knows I occasionally post her artwork and it always brings a smile to her face when someone comments. She is
picking up a friend at the Grand Rapids airport today, but I'll let her know when she gets home later today. :)

She specializes in doing pet portraits for people, and also does well at art shows with rocks painted with acrylics. She been published many times, and going back almost 40
years, she did the art work for the Rose Bowl in '88 when MSU won. It was the artwork used for the embroidered patches. We buy a table at the farmers market in town to
sell our excess veggies on Saturday mornings, but her artwork surpasses the amount we make on veggies many fold. I married up. :)

A local farmer asked her at the farmers market if she could do motorcycles as well. She had never done any before, but told him she
would give her best try.

I like her pastels best but she does great with multiple mediums, including watercolors, ink, and oils.

She had noticed my obsession with a '52 Blackguard Telecaster, which is somewhat the Holy Grail of Fender Teles, and although
I could never afford one that goes between 50 and 100 k nowadays, she did the next best thing and did this one for me
with pastels. She's a keeper and I don't mean the guitar.
