No one makes good chopped liver in VIRGINIA!!!
I started making my own because I have the same problem. There's a decent deli not too far from me but their chopped liver is awful. Got my Grams recipe now and a freezer full of chicken livers from my friend. He raises free range meat birds but no one ever wants the livers so he just gives them to me.
I love this so much. Growing up I thought everyone ate salami and eggs! We had it at least once a week. When I got older and would make it for my friends all hungover they would be mind blown lol. When I lived in Burlington VT there was a place called Sadie Katz that made amazing salami and eggs too. Sadly, it's another deli that's shut down now.Salami and Eggs
