Gelato #33

Hey guys, I'm doing a bit of reading about this strain, as it helped the Wife out quite a bit when we had Covid-19 last year, and this being the Wife's Birthday, I'm trying to get more info about this strain.

From what I'm reading, #33 is simply a Phenotype of Gelato, though, it's hard to say if that's actually the case (I've learned not every site has their info right) and apparently Gelato #33 is also called Larry Bird ?

Last year on the Wife's Birthday we had Covid-19, and had gotten a bag of Gelato #33, and on her Birthday last year, ONE seed came out of a bud and she considered it a Birthday Present from God. That seed sprouted and it's currently in the tent right now (Hoping for a female) but if it ends up being male, I'd like to know if #33 is actually just a Phenotype of Gelato, as I'm reading, or if it's something else? Any info is appreciated

Its a phenotype. Another popular Gelato cut is #41

I dig all those related strains I've ran - usually rock solid buds and medium + yields of good smoke. The past few months I've made several grabs for 33, 41, mochi, dosidos, sherbet etc. If all goes well, they'll be foundational pieces for a '22 girly makeover.

I grew out purple city genetics g33 and it was really tasty, pretty and yielded well. It could be stronger but it was decent. This is her

The g33 x lvtk seemed to put out more gassy phenos than fruity.

I dont think Ive ever seen #33 offered as a regular seed...only feminized. If that's true, then your seed either came from a hermied plant, another females pollen or a males pollen that was probably a mistake. If I was a betting man I'd say Herm or Female pollen from within the commercial grow which would almost guarantee your plant is a female. Don't take that to the bank....but Im pretty sure thats correct.

That's awesome bro! I do like the Gelato #33 that I had as well, but for the Wife it's like her favorite so I wanted to track info down, and, if that does end up being male, having a back up plan cause I know she'll be sad about it. But if someone here has beans of it, I'll be straight up; if I have to pay for seeds, I'd MUCH rather have money going to someone on here than any other site. At the end of the day, I actually trust you guys, and that matters a lot to me at least.

And now for the down side..... A chunk of what I just heard from you is "I have breeding skills, Exodus Cheese, and Gelato beans" LOL.

I have to admit that a Cheese cross with Gelato would probably be one of the most amazing smelling strains... I can see if it now.... "Come on bro just one sniff PLEASE!" and I'd sound like a coke head or something haha.

I have some Sin City Juice (Las Vegas Triangle Kush X Mimosa) soaking right now ! I liked Mimosa more than I've ever liked an actual Mimosa so I'm excited to try them.

I have some Sin City Juice (Las Vegas Triangle Kush X Mimosa) soaking right now ! I liked Mimosa more than I've ever liked an actual Mimosa so I'm excited to try them.

Yeah I was Blessed to be able to get some of those, and I was sitting on the bed the other day reading through Genetics of the strains I've got seeds of, and I wanted to get some more soaking, so already knowing I enjoyed Mimosa, I looked up what LVTK was crossed from, and after reading what it was, I was like "Ohhh Shit!" And grabbed a cup and some bottled water and started soaking 2 of them to start haha!

I'm t like..... I think 15 or 16 strains already going and or soaking ? My BBHP is coming along nicely and has started a few leaves, and today I saw Black Lime Special Reserve (F5) had sprouted too. The tent is small, and we don't have a lot of room, but whew does it already have a smell..... Can't place what it is yet but the fact that seedlings are throwing any kind of scent is VERY encouraging haha!

I'll say this i never tried the cut of Gelato #33 but I grew a cross from THSEEDS. French Macaron. Super flippin tasty. Gorgeous grey/black buds. I need to score more of them. I called it church weed because it smelled like the incense they burn at Catholic churches

Oh bro, I was surprised how good it was! I'm not really the type to go for a strain that's so sweet and floral like that normally, but my Chem and Cheese loving ass was happy to see that one seed too if that tells you anything LOL.

I don't think I have any cheese left in the vault; the last one will be a receiver for BBHP in about 10 days. Have you given any thought to turning your passion for cheeses into becoming 'the' US cheese guy, like Kaliman is in the UK? First as a collector, then later as the provider? I feel like it's a niche market that could possibly be worthwhile.

Passion seems like an understatement but yeah I'd love to do something along those lines; There's just something about the Chemdog family and the Cheese family that I love! I imagine I'd feel similar about Skunk #1 but I haven't as of yet been able to try that, but I'd like to eventually (Come on Skunky Dunk! Find that Pepe le Eww! LOL).

I joke about how if I win the lotto it'd be easy for everyone here to find out because there'd be a few hundred new Cheese crosses coming out, but, in reality it's not a joke LOL. I'd be able to afford a nice off site location with good filtration and a Hazmat suit to calm my OCD about having pollen on my clothes ruin my crop haha. I'd pretty much order a lot of every Cheese cross and Chem cross, and go hunting for which pheno I'd want of each for the first ones. I can see it now; "Chem de la Cheese released today, requires breathing apparatus in flower stage" haha. But yeah bro I'd love to be able to do that soon. Just need somewhere I can keep like two tents where I don't have to worry about moving them around, and of course good pollen storage.
