Baby crow number 4 has finally made it into the yard.
Came out this morning and there were two fledglings on the fence and two on the rim of the fire pit (little shits like pulling out the dandelions I toss in there).
I'm on my way down to the river to try my luck for a bit.

It is so much fun, and the more time I spend with them, the more interesting it gets as I become aware of further subtleties(kind of like with growing).

Nope, that's a baby demanding to be fed. The adults beaks are dark inside and their eyes are also dark. Babies have lighter coloured eyes and inner beaks.
That's Harold the yearling babysitting, and two more babies on the rim of the bathtub.
Harold was named after this Canadian icon:
