Wow. I thought it had been a few weeks since I last posted, but now that I see the date, it is actually pushing a couple of months. Literally never enough hours in a day.
I truly appreciate everyone's input and suggestions. I made a profile on Strainly, but I haven't had a chance to log back in after getting it all "set up". I recall reading something about needing 3 positive reviews before being able to post any ads. It would be helpful if I actually needed anything at the moment haha. I guess I might have to browse and look for some unnecessary necessary purchases haha. Anyone who is familiar with Strainly, feel free to drop some knowledge on me, either here or in PM. One of the things that turn me off on Strainly is when a vendor doesn't put all the information in the ad or their profile.
ie: number of seeds
How stored and maybe a harvest date
shipping costs
what forms of contribution are accepted?
If I don't find all the info that I am looking for, I just move on without responding.

As a side note, anyone who received any of the (Tropicanna Cookies x Herijuana) F1s from me should think about looking through those sooner than later. I ran 30 and 19 turned out to be female. Around 85% (16/19) of the females have varying degrees of this intense "perfume" smell that turns into mangoes at the end of flower and stays around through the dry/cure and flavor when smoked with most all of them. I am not talking about a faint hint of mangoes either. Definitely a more in your face, "fuck that reeks of mangoes" smell. I am madly in love. I have kept 2 females and 1 male that I have been working with quite a bit and also made a nice batch of F2s. Shout out to @Buzzer777 for the Herijuana! Positive vibes...

I am probably a little bit biased, but I really can't say enough how much I enjoy it haha. It was like winning the genetic lottery with that hybrid. I have always wanted to add some flavor to the Herijuana that I recall from back in the day. I have no idea how Tropicanna Cookies + Herijuana = mangoes though. The F2s have me pretty stoked as well.
I haven't extracted any of that hybrid. I have had quite a few people press a few different hybrids that I have made with the Tropicanna Cookies though. I feel like a few of the hybrids might have gotten low numbers on the return, but definitely top tier in looks (purple rosin)/flavor. I would definitely love to taste some rosin made from one of my Tropicanna Cookies x Herijuana females. I assume it would be delicious, just based on the taste of the flowers. All just speculation at this point really though haha. Positive vibes...
I always love to hear that! Other people enjoying my work makes me just as happy, if not happier than enjoying it myself (I might be a bit biased hahaha). You ran the Yeti OG x Tropicanna Cookies, if my memory serves, correct? Everyone who has ran that one has raved about it quite a bit. Yeah I should be looking through more of those soon. I already have a few running, but I want a larger population to look through. I didn't get the best germination rates on them, but that set of seeds did get lost on my workbench for 6-8 months, so that probably didn't help anything haha. It has been a little while since I have posted an updated list of cultivars that I am currently looking through/working with and seeds that I have made recently or still ripening on the vine. I still don't have the time/energy right now, but hopefully one day soon haha.
I did want to stop in and say that a lot of people that are purchasing my creations over at Strainly have been buying 3-5 packs of a single hybrid (they refer to them as phenohunting packs, which is cool), since my work is priced so fair. Business hasn't been amazing or anything (and probably never will be haha), but it feels good to get my work out to more people and also get a little back for the amount of time and energy (not to mention funds) that I put into my craft.
This track always wakes me up and gets me ready to put another day in a chokehold on my way to work haha.

I truly appreciate you checking in @HydroRed. I have just been a little bit discouraged with cannabis lately. I am not usually one to complain and we all have our own life shit to deal with anyway, but Strainly sales have dropped off. Strainly is kind of a pain in the dick anyway. There are so many people that will hit you up and ask a ton of questions and then after you take the time to answer all of their questions, they don't even say, "thank you for the information" or anything at all. Another favorite is the people that literally place an order to never be heard from again. I just don't understand window shoppers or people that don't respect other people's time.
We also had a heat wave a month or so ago that really hit my seedling/clone room pretty hard. I was spending more time with the family, so it took me a couple of weeks to even really notice that the plants were fucking pissed in that room. Luckily, I haven't lost any cuts that I have created or found from seed, but Triangle Kush and Irene OG are still barely hanging on. Irene roots super easy, so I should be able to save her, but TK is a pain in the ass to root, even when the mother plant is healthy. We will fucking see haha.
I also had 3 females that I harvested recently that were pollinated for seed crops. The seeds matured, but upon further inspection, a lot of the embryos are dry and shriveled up. I have never seen anything like it and I have been making seeds for most of my life. I took an elderly relative to the doctor one morning and that took a lot longer than expected (5 fucking hours) and these 3 females were mildly wilted by the time that I got to my op. I am not certain that is the cause of the embryos being shriveled up, but it is the only issue that I can think of. I am happy that I was able to help my family, but it was a lot of wasted time and energy nurturing a bunk seed crop. I do a germination test on every batch of seeds that I make, but I don't even feel like wasting the time with those. I have all three females flowering again and should be pollinated with the same male again soon.
If only one of these things had occurred, it probably wouldn't even be a big deal, but they all happened in rapid succession, so it is just a little bit more difficult to deal with. Do you ever just wonder if you are busting your fucking ass and giving 110% and it literally just doesn't matter and it might never will?
On a positive note, I am looking through some Grease's Pieces x Tropicanna Cookies that I made using your work. Quite a few of them smell like bubblegum or something similar. It is interesting to see how the terpenes from the Tropicanna Cookies (myrcene mainly) combine and react with other terpenes in my hybrids for such a wide range of smells/flavors. For instance, my Tropicanna Cookies x Herijuana is mango to the fullest. My (Tropicanna Cookies x Herijuana) x (Black Triangle F2) has a nice percentage of females that are grape on a Triangle Kush flower structure. As I mentioned before, a lot of the Grease's Pieces x Tropicanna Cookies plants are bubblegum and my Mikado x Tropicanna Cookies plants I can't really put a description to, but they are delicious haha.
I am sure that I will be on the upswing sooner than later. I will update this thread with what I have going on as soon as I get some time. Positive vibes...

I feel ya on every word. I got hit with a stroke of poor luck myself that I feel like Im still trying to crawl out of after getting whacked back to back so many times between losing my mommas in a flood at a friends house to working on fruitless projects for 5+ months at a time, etc over the last couple years. Im sure things will straighten out real soon for you though. It shure sounds like you are deserving of a little relief as well as those plants getting nursed back to health again. Your efforts dont go un-noticed in "real life" and on here in "Canna Land". I was just digging through the stash like 2 days ago and pulled aside all those GP crosses you sent me (Greases Pieces x Tropicana Cookies / Greases Pieces x Blowfish / Greases Pieces x Monkey Balls / Greases Pieces x Herijuana). Im likely gonna get the GP x Trop Cookies wet soon. Looking forward to seeing more from you on here as soon as you can!

I see you have a cut of Chem D ? And there was a UK Cheese cross too ? And Motor Breath.... And Race Fuel... Chem de la Chem is a new one for me; Wife's cousin brought that with her for camping last week and I LOVED it! Chem D is currently my favorite of the original Chemdog line, and Chem Brulee is pretty high up too, but I can't help but ask this:

I grow Motor Breath a lot but Race Fuel I've only smoked and gotten to try once, but I feel like a mix of Cheese, Chem, and the Race Fuel and Motor Breath would make some interesting carbon filter stress tests to say the least.

Hey Nuggz, on your "Tropicana Cookies x Herijuana" -did you experience more than one of the phenos to give the full on mango terps? If you ran multiples, was this something you found in more than one plant?
