I was hesitant to burden anyone with my troubles, but
the support I've gotten from the pHam has been very
helpful. After tomorrow, no more Schrodinger's cat for Hugh.
If I get through this, I'll see Banff before I die. Guess that means you, too, brother.

Back from the big city... well, Macon.
I guess ol' Hugh hit the gutshot on the
river, 'coz it went about as well as I
could have hoped for. Got yelled at a little
for not getting it checked out sooner, but, all in
all, I think I'm gonna be OK at the end of the day.
There are still tests to be run, yadda, yadda.
Doc even said my fishing days aren't over - just
gonna be all bundled up and slathered with sun
screen and wearing sexy hats!! The best thing he said
was he doesn't feel chemotherapy will be needed.
Gearing up for the fight. Thank you everyone here at
pHenohunter.org for your kind words and proactive
deeds of support. I hope you folks are popping the
buttons right off your vests at what you've created
and nurtured here. Places like this just don't fall
off the turnip truck - they are rare and should be
treasured. I do.

Thought maybe I should check in and let y'all know the shoal runner
ain't cashed in his chips quite yet. He is, however, lower than a
snake's belt buckle at present writing. Puking my brains out,
shitting my guts out... but this shit ain't whippin' my ass. Next
Tuesday, I start a 3 month regimen of targeted immuno-therapy,
then I get this shit cut outta me sometime after Xmas.
Please don't be cavalier like Hughie. Wear your fucking sunscreen. Take good care of yourselves. People love you. Nobody wants this.
