today was a great learnin day for me... but part of this process is still elududing me tbh... mostly drying process.... I chopped and froze over parchment... I then attempted to microplane with a lemon zester... I guess that would of worked if I had baseball size chunks... but I was mostly just zesting my fingers... how finely does the material need to be separated before an attempt at drying?

Also, how much should I work with the material? Don’t I want to not destroy all the trichromes here by chopping them? Or does that not matter anymore because they are separated, and going to be melted through another bag?

Today may have raised more questions than it answered, but I have my best yield of bubble hash yet...

The washing machine makes this process much more bare able for small batches. I didn’t weight it out but I’m sure I have a quarter of hash or so...

I can’t wait to fuck it all up on the rosin press...

Here’s one of the piles of hash that I plan on pressing. I froze it, microplaned, but I couldn’t get every tiny little piece apart with the tool I have... I think next time I might use a regular sieve, like frenchy uses in his videos...

this is 75,90, and 120u, looks clean under a scope to me. I’m still on the fence as to whether I should press it thru a 25u or a 37u for hash rosin, and not entirely sure how Dry is sry enough to press... I’m gonna give it at least another few days

Welp. I’m a little u underwhelmed by the end product.Had some trouble with the first press thru a 25 micron at 160 degrees. Stepped it up to 37, but had then had trouble with getting the proper pressure. I think my biggest issue is very simply not having enough hash to press. I needed to have more material between the plates to create a little bit of give between them so I can squeeze the oil out of the bags. My pucks were too small, so I just crushed it between the plates trapping it all inside the bags. I think I’m gonna make some dry sift to practice with or something before i fuckup a bunch of bubble again lol... I It’s quite a bit darker than I thought it would be. It is burning completely clean in a
, so I’m on the right track. I think. Gonna run some Mac1 Now to cheer myself up.
