I love the power handle too. That is my first reel with one. The 25 lb drag is nice and is the only spec that sets that reel apart from the Shimano Tranx 400. The Abu Garcia Revo Toro beast also has a 25LB drag. Other than that, those three reels seem built pretty much the same.
Yeah I didn't know much about that exact one, so I had to google it, and saw the specs chart, which was pretty sweet I must say
The handle is where it's at though bro; I do have an Abu 6000, and it's an old one the Wife found used for 6 dollars, all metal, made in Sweden and all that, and for a while I used it to cast lures on one rod, while I had two others sitting out with bait looking for Catfish. The Wife learned how to cast a bait cast Reel with that Abu, so once she got an actual conventional Rod, I let her have the Abu, as the smaller size was a LOT easier for her to cast with.
I do like a couple of things Shimano has, but the cost of them usually keeps them out of my reach LOL. The Penn Reels I drool over, one was a gift, and one was a stimmy check purchase LOL. Only way I could get something like that myself.
You know I couldn't help but notice the retrieve rate on those ones you're using; That's a sweet number! The "fastest" Reel I own is the size 25 Fathom Lever Drag, which is 36 inches per full crank, but I think I saw one of those 400s can actually top that too.
You ever tear the lure back at high speed to try and trigger a response from the Musky ? As top predators, they're territorial, and I imagine they would hit one simply for going fast at times. Haven't gotten to try that as of yet though.
