Just a pro tip from a motherfucking amateur, since I ended up making another batch of gummies tonight to celebrate the birth of baby jesus (really just being alive and having my family and just fucking life in general): pick up some potassium sorbate to add to your gummy recipe. I made 3-4 batches of gummies in a week whenever I first started making them. I was shoving them in my mouth as fast as I could and handing them out like... well fucking candy haha, but I still had some that molded. Potassium sorbate is a preservative. I keep the gummies in my refrigerator after they cool now, but I also still hand them out ~20 at a time and I have had no complaints of mold. Not one recipe that I found before I started making them actually mentioned potassium sorbate or preserving the gummies at all. I had to dig for that after I had a bag full of mold.
