This is why I'm doing the rack veg tek so I can pop way more seeds at a time. Basically get 3-4 2x4 veg spaces in the space of one with a rack

Big Max up to 100lb pumpkin seeds and small round Sugar Baby watermelon 8-10lbs
I've grown the giants before. 5 foot around. I've got pictures somewhere with a tape measure around one. Massive bastards. Gave all but one away and cut that one up to make pumpkin puree to make pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread.
Most of the canned pumpkin on grocery shelves is not really pumpkin. Extended family and friends love our pumpkin pies on the Holliday's and my wife hords the pumpkin bread when I make it.
It's honestly easy to make and if this grow is successful I'll make it and post it?

Oh hell yeah! Looks like a good time. I drove past Bates Nut Farm yesterday and they were watering their fields. They make bank selling big ones for $200+ and $10 hay rides. Fudge is $20lb or more by now. They've been there forever. I use to go when I started fishing Wohlford in the 80's from Orange County. Then drove past the lake
instead of taking the grade yesterday and snapped a couple pics. Haven't been by in a couple years and I only live 15 mins away.
You should see kids faces when we tell them to ask their parents if it's okay to get a giant pumpkin. Parents faces too usually. Makes it all worth it.

I've made my share of pies from the canned "pumpkin." Nothing wrong with it and tastes like pumpkin if you use the proper spices.
Most people who use fresh pumpkin use the smaller sweeter pumpkins but I've found they all work well for cooking and I can make a lot of puree with one large pumpkin.
