Sugar’s Pops!

Poppin’ Beans
This weekend has been crazy busy so far, and no sight of any slack anytime soon. And with snow right around the corner, well…
(Have I mentioned we finally said hello to the first snow geese?)

So..
The old man sold the farm. I’ve been helping remove the fencing and what not.. If it keeps going this way, I should have a Popeye arm in no time! 5 pound mallet is a bit to swing continuously, but it needs to get done, and I said I would… ( my arm hates me for it already!)
Huge blessings though, as we already know the new landowner and are not obligated to move. So at least that is in our favour. And no drastic changes (so far anyway) And the clause was set so that the old man can live here on the farm till his “day”..
So that’s all set in motion and settled now as well, we’re just hammering out the little details now..
The man has been nothing shy of a father like figure to me, the least I can do is the heavy shit for him!

On the home front, Orange tooth is taking off like it has real estate on mars! 3 days later, the blue cheeses are splitting ground, as is a Durban poison.. no sign of the lemon zkittles as of yet.. ( maybe they’re lemons!)…lol
At some point soon,
I have to go get the horses fed and pound on some boards, just waiting for it to warm up a bit first and get some joints rolled..

there’s a little bit hanging to dry and I’ll fill in that blanc later, but ya, busy times!
Get your outside stuff done Alberta Boys! Won’t be long now..

more to come….

Just got the horses done, and I had to stop for a coffee.. ya that’s it… coffee…lol cough cough… lol

Yesterday, upon our travels to get some groceries, I snapped a pic of another farm in the area, if you blow the pic up, the date is on the barn.. 94F8805F-3EBA-423D-A7D2-6EDFF3DC5CCC.jpeg
The importance of the pic is the time frame, this farm and that one were both broke at the same time by huge teams of oxen..
Back in the late 1800’s, this ranch was rest spot for cattle drives and such…tons of history here!

Ok… now I’m off to dismantle some fencing!
But when I get back… The Great Gadsby! (Yup… he‘s from these parts too!)

Check this out!

He would frequent the bar/hotel in Mirror Alberta by horseback, and still carried his sidearms, long after the law said he couldn’t.
Next time we drive by, I’ll snap some shots of his memorial placard, ( not like it’s right next door..lol)

So there’s a bit of history from these here parts of Parkland.
And if your looking on google maps or what ever, there is a hamlet east of Stettler called Gadsby, and to be honest, I have no idea of the correlation but have been told by the old guys, it was little to do with Mr Gadsby himself. Who knows though.. That kind of family spreads like fire!..?????????

Durban poison mimicking Dr.Grinspoon?….lmao image.jpg

Poor thing never had a leg to stand on.. she went through hell!. From floods ( too much humidity)to heatwaves drying her out daily. Nute lockouts to gang wars with the horrible 5 wrecking crew.. (bugs), she’s had a tough go and I’m glad the weather is different now to say the least!.. Some strains thrive where others can’t, that’s just the way it is, But I should have never started Durban Poison when I did, the beans are only a decade old, and should have been started in the winter giving them a much better chance with the environment being completely different. My bad.
She still gave me Something though not much, and I’ll make honey from her anyway.. Her oil will go further than the few joints I could get.

Rock-Star, once again playing the hide and seek game, can’t see a seed to save my soul… uhhh image.jpg image.jpg
These guys, along with the rest of the plant will hang for a week at a very low rh (35%), so they can just dry out.. ( don’t worry, I have cured stuff in the cupboards).
I remain hopeful, but it isn’t looking good for beans..
Might have to try it all over again..?
If at first you don’t succeed…..

So, I reached the flat bed trailer and called it for today, my arms are jello and I still have to feed the girls, the horses again and all the K9’s.. Not to mention Sugar Momma, and I still haven’t thought of what to make for her yet, she’s a tough one to cook for as lots of the stuff I can cook well, she just can’t eat. ( some foods make her Fibro flair up).
So, if after all that, and possibly ( but not certainly) some housework, maybe, just maybe, I’ll have a moment to make a batch of honey oil…
Wow!, maybe even some hash! ( that might be pushing it tho)
If only my energy could keep up to my ambition!…lol

Strains that can do that weird skin tingle thing may help with that

And somehow, I’ll still make room!??
Bummer about the Durban babies, that would be cool.

Says the guy who is about to literally drown in a tsunami of incoming seed.
?
I still have 10 Durban seeds if ya want some…
She seems to be a long hauler tho.. 14 weeks wasn’t long enough, but that was probably due to environmental factors
I do have to say though, the flavonoids and terps were definitely something I’d chase in a faster strain!.. good high from the little I’ve tried as of yet.. (still not cured)..

@Psychobilly I will certainly give that a mention to the missus bro! Thank you much!
No problem. Wife has those issues too, and some strains make her skin go haywire while other ones calm it (I try to make a mental note about which ones).
2 Blue Cheese, one Lemon Zkittles, one Durban Poison up as of this morning.. ?
That's not the only thing up now! :)

Helmut Heads!

Both Blue Cheese still have their headgear on, as did the Durb up until yesterday, looking better this morning though! Still no sign of the two “snoozers” showing up for the party..

The Orange Tooth is kicking ass and not even bothering taking names.. it was put in dirt a day late to the other 6 and is surpassing them by FAR!…
Here are some fresh pics from this morning..
Still in the same order, Blue, Lemon, Durb…

On a different note.
I’m thinking this will be the last run of the Orange Kush for now, I still have more beans, and now I have a a cross of her as well that produced a bunch of beans, so I can always revisit it at a later time anyway. So the last 3 clones are in the big girl tent now, next to the doc…(had to move the coffee plant back upstairs for more room too.
Im not a big fan of Scrog, and Orange Kush is definitely a cultivar that would benefit from it! (And a heavy dose of Si)
Netting doesn’t bode well in a perpetual garden where everything keeps getting shuffled around lots..unless you have a net for each of them that can be moved as well. ( maybe some day, not today tho)..
Last night before bed I made some Durban Hash… it was alright, nice and tasty, not like the Orange Kush hash at all though, I’ve been sooo spoiled with it to be honest. She sure is a bowl of flavour in that respect! If ya get a chance to try some, do it up!

More fence removal today at some point, ( can ya feel the excitement?)…lol
