GMO was the name given when it was found out that Girl Scout Cookies contain genetically modified ingredients (the actual cookies, not the weed) I've also heard the original name when it was bred was called Garlic Cookies. They decided that wouldn't be a great marketing name and switched to GMO. You and I would be very inclined pick up a garlic cut, the new smokers & growers who like the fruity floral stuff, not so much.
