I love growing hempy, but I've never been happy with a process for germination for it yet. I don't like the paper towel method, or the idea of starting in rockwool or any other material that would be added to the final pots.
Normally I just soak the seeds in water until the taproot pops and then put them in their buckets.
Now that I'm using a lot more 10gal buckets, I don't have much extra media to go around.
So I decided to give hempy cups a try.
Pretty much the same concept as the buckets, just a solo cup filled with perlite/vermiculite with a hole drilled a few inches up one side for drainage.
A spare 6" clear saucer should work well enough for a humidity dome until the seed breaks ground.
I have a fem MK Ultra in there. If this works, she'll go in one of my taller 4 gallon buckets...
I figured I'll save the short 10gal totes for the large strains and run compact/avg size strains in the taller 4's to try and keep the canopy a bit more even.
