Couple more casting picks.
The core is sand and sodium silicate. It’s hardened with co2 gas in 10seconds.
The core box is one of the old pistons cut in half gap corrected with and doweled together for core making.

core hangs on the top lip. Infoundnoutnit floats so a weight is required wen poring.

sand all rammed up ready for aluminium.

I have a 1984 Chevy short box restoration on the go. It’s apart LOL this little v4 powers an air compressor. Going to do a little sand blasting on the frame and underbody if I can get it running.

Thes little v4s we’re used on swathers and older bobcats.
They are nutritious for blowing out the exhaust gasket and then leaking rain water in. It sits out in the open.
She hasn’t run in like 20 years.

Not in a while I haven't. I'd say about the same, few months. I should see what he's up to, easy to lose touch with folks otherwise. Lol

Just a little pick update.
Flower room mostly seed making going on except the 2 Adubxanimal cookies in the center.
Going to updat the tables. Make a big U shaped table/drain back to res.

4 cookies and chem are looking like all boys. Was hoping for one to cros with the nice girl I have. They will all get a shot.
Hethens Godbud in the center. May even hit her.

This is AC-adub real nice tested at 18% sure does smell a lot like purple punch.


And more piston work.
Sneek peak at heat treat, 500c for 4hrs.
Just warming up here the coils don’t run red all 4 hrs.

This is a bad pore piston but good to test out tool paths on. Turned the OD today and the finish is excellent. Now I just have to figure how much to taper. Oh and my helper. He always thinks it’s something for him. Mostly hoping its food. LOL

Beauty there mang, love that frosty purple look she's sporting.
How prevalent is the purple pheno do ya know? And/or do you have an idea of how many seeds were popped to find that one?

I popped about 15. Got about 1/2boys. Only one has the purple. Most have the same structure. Smells all similar with slight variance. None have quite the same smell as heathens clone he gave me. He did say he had a purple one that was fire in the buzz department. I’ve never run that many beans before. Sure is cool seeing the different phenos. I’d like to do it again.
I’ll have to post some plants I have making seed in 2oz shot glasses. They are getting flood from the top by a timer and pump 3x/day. I didn’t think it would work too well but I’m thinking it may be a good way to go through some of these packs I have.

Here is a little better pick of the purple pheno. Bear in mind this is just a seed run. I have watered with no runoff just to test.
I have tested some runoff on a couple plants and it’s over 1000 some over 2000.
Most look fine. They are starting to show droopy leave. I have started to water with ro or dehu. Water. If you need more seed just ask.

They all may have a little purple in the end. But this one pheno is showing real early and will most likely be all purple by the end.

4 greenpoint cookies and chem boys.
I’ve been upping the ppm. Using up some old 2 part I’ve had since the early 90s.
Currently at 700ppm. Still look hungry. Just flipped. In 1L coco. I’ll be making F1s with the nice female i have.

Here is WOS aphgan kush early. Wouldn’t recommend them as I had no gerination with their ketama and only 2 of the early.
I did some lower branch pollinating and let the tops go. They did flower real fast. Buds are quite tight. These 2 were in L liter pots.
Smell is quite dank. Earthy rotten.
I did keep clones of the 2 and will be planting outdoors this spring to see if they can go the mile. Crossed this to god bud and a few autos I have. I let them go Probly 3 weeks longer than normal harvest so the seeds would be ripe. The girls were quite spent when I chipped them today.

Cookies and chem is fully seeded. Have had some root rot set in in the flower room. Treated my RO with some pool shock. And things are turning around. She has a ways to go and a big job of making seed as she was hit pretty hard but she is looking ok. On auto feed 3x/day. Hat to believe she is in a 1L container. Had to bury it in a bigger pot with hydroton to keep her upright. She is getting heavy.

Cookies and cream by Heathen on mega crop and Cookies and chem organic. 2nd year on these organic pots. Looks like lots of nitrogen left. Was worried as they faded fast last year maybe just normal for organic.
