Looking good, looking forward to seeing what you can grow with that giant HPS in the sky!
There is going to be lots of stuff, I want to try an espalier pear tree, some annuals in the winter for spring planting, perineals (maybe even for sale). Ill start with bringing in some of the strawberries.

Freezing temps possible this evening. It was cool and damp today, sprinkled early on and I still need a 2nd coat on the frame. Probably won't happen tomorrow but I might be able to get the door done.

If you are a fan of oil bases paint, get it while you can.

Do you have any thermal masses in your cold frame (ie gallon milk jugs painted black full of water or sand)? It really helps them to maintain warmer temps.
I haven't done anything like that purpously yet, there is almost 10 gallons in the swamp cooler tho. This was just a quick blast and that swamp cooler will run later this week. I should keep an eye on ground temps are though.

Buckets with aquarium heaters have served me well in the past.

I actually have a Skunky VA in 5 gallons of soil (10 gal pot) in there that should finish no problem mid Octoberish?

We will see if I can hold out 'til December?

Lows in the 40's next few nights, heater dropped to low setting last night and maintained high 40's with a low of 38. Budset seems to stop below 50 but that doesn't seem to have sped maturation along any.

Finally got 2nd coat on the frame yesterday, decided I will epoxy the floor before doing the pannels.

Not having a set plan (not even a back of the napkin drawing) has given me infinite freedom for "design" changes. I am going to make the top 4ft of this side of the roof peak openable.

On the not quite going as planned front I have to repaint the door cause the roller shed a bunch of fibers into it and the previous 4 plants I have transplanted are not in optimal health. Each showing some different signs but I think it boils down to me forgetting to fully ammend the hp promix that was used. Stacked on the ammended worm poop for the last 3, we'll see if that fixes it.

Dosen't look like this somebody is going camping this weeked @JL2G

It happens, I've got a large to do list myself, but fuck it I'm headed for the hills. Lol.
You already live up there so your already doing perpetual luxury camping as it is. ???
There's always a next time anyways.
The opening roof vent will be a good add on imho, get some good breeze rolling in there for those hot ass summer days.

I nap on the deck every day.

Almost busier now since quasi retirement, business is still open but I am not taking any work, so now I am just a landlord.

Airflow is good but I want more uv. Can't open the bottom without risking a chipmunk invasion.

Day 85 Neville's Haze
The one that looks like Grinspoon (not Grimspoon)
20210926_090516.jpg
This one might be done in a couple weeks.

20210926_090821.jpg
This one might finish in a couple months. It won't live that long.

It dosen't look like the Cider Kush pollen took real well. I would have thought I could easilly spot seeds on that top one but I don't see anything. These will all come down in a couple weeks probably.

Ya know, it's pretty funny......I guess.

We were complaining this side of the house didn't get any sun in the winter. The reflection is painful. Most likely going to have to go for frosted pannels, not a cheap mistake but trying to make the best out of it, or signal aliens. ? ?

Damn.

Neville's x Cider Kush :mariofireball: That's some next level chuckery from the valley in the sky. It's gotta happen.

The small glimpse of the CK that I was able to look into showed some legitimacy in how inbred it was. Smashing that up with another highly inbred line like the NH would likely have some hybrid vigor going on. Probably rip tents apart and shred them into confetti. Be gentle.

Or grow something in between to block it?? Whitewash it on the outside? Other than that, looks pretty dope, the whole set up. Jealous a bit, but mostly very happy for you all. :lazycouchlock:

There are coatings but, the anti glare ones are for glass, and I am concerned the white wash might make it worse overall. Right now it seems there is only a few hours of the day its bad. As the sun moves further south it may not be as much same in the summer as its further north.

There will be nothing planted there that will grow that tall, this is the WUI, I've got a minimum of 100 feet of defensible space and 30ft of limited combustible vegitation around the house in the HOPE that it doesn't all go up WHEN a fire comes through.

Damn.

I'm not 100% on the Neville's Haze, it didn't have the consistency I would expect from a heirloom. It is a remnant of the black market, unverifiable. So many lies were told back then. I am quite dissapointed actually. It may be something to breed with but it just does not impress me. I can't find a legitimate reason to keep iy garden so I let my cuts go. I have enough crosses an repros to look through.

Honestly, from what I've seen and remember, your NH has been really really close to the original in a ton of ways. Nothing these days is ? so you're right.
Perhaps its my bias, I would have expected more potency from a legendary cultivar. The nose and flower structre were pretty similar, mostly its the variation in height and finish time, seems more like a landrace than anything that was purpously selected?

IDK my cannibis history is weak I don't have any interist in chasing lies and half truths.

The plant structure and long flowering times you've been dealing with are virtually identical to what I remember NH has always been. Not that you're not dealing with something else, I do believe that haze-esque genes has been bred into what you've been growing at least with some intent. Neville's? Who knows.

A ton of hear say on what is what these days when looking into authenticy of anything over a decade old. I'd like to get a Super Silver Haze but my feelings would be the same as yours are now.
