What are you smoking on today?

Not sure if it's LA Dog or LA DBG since the lettering is smudged from its trip through Alberta from @Jewels to me, but either way I'm ripped.

Between doing some combusting during the road trip and the effects of the forest fire smoke, my senses of taste and smell are pretty useless right now so no attempt at an evaluation on those facets, but the stone is very, very nice.(thanks again, J)

Tilts at Tables

I am glad you are enjoying it, and I wholehearted agree; she can be kinda heavy.

I wouldnt wanna be at the hardware, selecting plumbing fittings on that stuff.

Save it for the riverbank, cuz if you smoke it too early you may end up at the shore without a rod.

,,, and while I got your attention I will compliment you on your new backpack. I can see the appeal there. I'm still shaking sand out of every pocket I took along.

Come As You Are
What would be your top favorites list ? I've noticed that you seem to like a multitude of different strains, but some you aren't into, which, I'm the same way, but now I'm kind of curious what you'd say the best you've had would be.

The temp thing, I'd like to try that though. Over the past few years I've noticed that in August, the heat makes my Cheese and Chem sad, and I end up out there dying of sweat production adding water to them to keep them going LOL. But the days where it's like 68 - 70 degrees during the day, and like 50 or less at night, they love it. You can see them wilting when it's hot, and standing up with all leaves grabbing Sun when it's cooler.

That's one thing I'm hoping to accomplish with having a permanent tent once I have one; Being able to play with the RH and temps each day to make it cool and dry in there and making sure the temps drop by at least 20 degrees during lights out. The only plants that really seem to hate cold weather are Motor Breath, and that weird Hawaiian Sunshine that leaned REALLY heavy on the Sativa side.... Bro this thing was a giant monster of a plant, and inside the greenhouse where it was routinely over 100 degrees, it didn't care, and I couldn't burn her with nutes either; I kept noticing after a while that I could give her a full dose of Nutes, then, come back an hour later or so, and give her another dose, wait 4 days, do that again, and not one ounce of nute burn.... If it wasn't for her long flower cycle, I feel I could have filled that greenhouse with that one plant. Barely made it to the finish line LOL she was pissed! Cold Temps didn't mix with her at all.

That pretty much sums up my love of cannabis, with the exception of Forbidden Fruit.

Sour>gassy>fruity/berry and most combinations thereof.
Sour Diesel and Blue Dream were the first "name" strains that I tried back in '95. A physical therapist we did business with at a local rehab hospital had a few tents running and was drooling in anticipation of prop 215 passing.
We also mountain biked together and he would bring his wares to the rides.
It was a great hookup for a minute but as soon as 215 passed, him and his brother went all-in and I never saw him again after that.

His Sour D was terrific. The BD was great too, especially compared to what I was getting from my brother in law. It's been in my top 5 ever since.

Comparable bud was difficult to find until my friend Steve M showed up with @RookieBuds White Widow.

FWIW, there is a lot of marijuana grown in the valley here, but the problem is most people are poor-ish and can't afford top shelf so what happens is, the good bud gets sent to places where it fetches top dollar and we're relegated to Mexican brick weed. Unless you grow or know a grower.

Maybe try shading the pots from the heat if you aren't already. The surface temp of my fabrics in 2017 was 133F in direct sunlight.
That's why I try to oversize or at a minimum, wrap the pot in something that is lighter in color than black.

That's funny because Blue Dream and Blue Cheese I think are the first named strains to ever grab my attention lol. OG Kush early on too really, that was good stuff.

I can't believe I haven't had Sour Diesel.... got a cross of that running though!

The pots I use can generally keep a bit cooler, but mainly because of lazy weeding, which has a few benefits and drawbacks, but the benefits are keeping a living thing in the soul around it, which helps keep it "alive", but it also shields the pots.

This past season I should have took pictures how my pots have hula skirts haha. I trim the tops so they aren't over the sides, but I leave them and spray the pots too, cause a lot of them are black so the Sun can heat it fast.

Once the roots make it out of the pot, I do also cover the bottom of the pot with soil which keeps the sun off them.

Probably way hotter your way but we do get some zing to our temps at times lol. Scares me, but if you move and got homesick; August is your friend lol.

I've never had the LA side, but I know Chem D pretty well. I nicknamed it "Chem Duh" lol.

Today has been for me, Fiona's Chem Cake and Susie Cream Cheese. I have to grind up more now though; only one left rolled lol.

Thank you. :)

You may have seen in the fishing thread that I just bought my first ever expensive(ish) reel for river fishing. Sand is the reason I always used cheaper gear at the river and why I regularly replace it.

River sand is alive and will crawl into every opening and orifice it can find. Then the abrasiveness starts wrecking shit.

That pack won't keep it out, but it should slow it down. ;)

"The Philosopher, is Stoned"
Yesterday I found a quart jar full of Bubba Kush that I'd hidden from myself! So, I ground some up, put her in Da pipe, and then I remembered why I hid it, I love it! Haven't even tried anything else since I found it! Gonna need to run her again. When I do, I have 4 different iterations, and maybe a Phenohunt and preservation of the winners should be attempted. This will be rather lengthy process, so I'll need to schedule for it. Seems I'm always making work for myself . I wonder why :dogsmoke:?

Tiki Blue Rumsicle. Tastes like gas and hash with a little fruit. I mostly dab and this flower has me lit on two pipe hits. Its a shame that I don't have enough for a dab run, but that should be rectified come November. She has a semistupifying type high, you have to think about what you are doing or you just drift off to daydreamland. Warm happy and content.

Into the second bag of goodies from @Jewels .

It's marked Puff MD.
I put zero thought into it. My brain saw MD, and just immediately presumed this was a CBD cultivar.(shut up, it's early)

I know all you strain junkies and seed-catalogue subscribers want to slap me through the screen for not getting that it was "Puff the Magic Dragon" right off the bat. Well haha, that tech hasn't been invented yet. ;-P

Anyway, it doesn't feel like CBD. Early thoughts are a sativa-leaning hybrid, definitely more head than body. The taste has both familiar and unfamiliar facets, but I haven't yet identified them. Definitely tasty though.

First impression is very nice. Feels like a good wake'n'bake buzz for a Sunday.

Thank you again, J.
