Who's got dentures?

I just got new dentures and I hate them. Insurance paid, but I had to use Aspen dental, I will make them adjust them, but I don't have much hope. For a dental care provider, they are more like plumbers. It seems like everybody does 'shit' work these days, and if you complain, they layout some bullshit about Covid or Supply Chain issues. We are moving backwards it would seem!

The funny thing is when I was in the hospital after my recent stay a nurse was asking me how I was gonna eat with out my dentures. I had to explain to her I have an easier time eating without the dentures in, if you cut things up small enough you can practically eat anything.
Haha, I really thought I was an anomaly!!! Idk how it works out, but shit are you right bro!!!!! 🤣

Sounds like your on the path we were

About 15-20 years ago I needed something done. This dentist tells me it's a wisdom tooth it was upper, and he goes to work on it. After a while my upper jaw hinge fractured and the wisdom tooth along with another tooth came out together still buried in a big chunk of bone. My upper jaw had a raw back end for a while until it healed over, and I had what they apparently call a fistula..an opening between my mouth and my sinuses. For about 4-5 years every time I swallowed a drink I had to tilt my head to the right or it would run right out my nose without slowing down. That got me some weird looks lol.

So now teeth are breaking down and I need to do something and I think of that, and well just dammit.

I don't use them to eat at all. That Nurse would faint watching me eat Popeye's LOL. "That's what else this mouth do" LOL.

It'll be alright bro; Shit if you seen what my mouth can do without a tooth... Haha :)

I'm glad you admit going without your falsies. My situation is very similar, I hate that 'caulk' denture glue, and so I mainly wear mine to town, so as not to embarrass my wife! My new dents fit poorly and I seriously doubt the abilities I've had this time. My old dents fit well enough that glue was not needed, I just needed to watch how mush I'd bite at one time.
I have wanted to be able to sell my own line of edibles. An entire line of goods that are a bit easier on the gums. I will call them "Uncle Roz's 'Toothless Wonders'"! Maybe some day 😋

Well I'm glad I can open up with you guys and that you can do the same with me. Speaking for myself my teeth (or lack there of) is an insecurity of mine and I generally try not to think / talk about it and avoid the subject all together if I can lol.
Like i said guys, i thought i was an anomaly. Its nice to know im not the only one. It's nuts how like minded us hobby growers really are.

I have no opinion on this matter as I still have all of my teeth…..even my wisdom teeth at 42 years old. I will have to agree with @Amos Otis about them just seeking out your wallet. I hadn’t been to the dentist since I was 18, but about three years ago I had some teeth that were sore. Turns out, I only had three tiny cavities, BUT he kept suggesting to pull all of my wisdom teeth because one has a cavity! Three years later and he still hasn’t fixed the cavity and keeps telling me I should pull them. I’m currently seeking out a different dentist!

36 here, still got all mine...but I do have a wisdom coming through currently that is almost fully out. That leaves me with a lil flap of gum to rip off soon. I feel like a puppy who wants to chew on something. I come from a long line of white trash and hillbillys though....when I was little my mom said she caught my dad trying to scrub my teeth with comet.
