What's On Your Mind?

With ducting connected/fastened, i like to cut two pieces of 2" wide strips of foam (fire retardant grade) that are long enough for the circumference, and zip tie the foam strip on with a spring. I use the springs for my air pump as well when running a tea. Really helps with the vibrations at contact points. They do sell actual deflection spring hangers but for the price, I just estimate the sum of ducting weight and fans , divide that by each hanging point on ducting/fans, use springs based on that number. Then depending on that weight, trampoline springs, folding bed mattress springs, throw out sofa base springs, old tech parts....but i've found the perfect springs are those fishing scales when on clearance for a few clams work well depending on design.

You might know already but in case not, suncourt also sells a speed controller, it's expensive (last I checked 5 years ago). If you are good with electronics, one can be jimmy-rigged cheap and there are some schematics online for it 🤘

I have a question for anyone with a grow tent. I started the flower cycle yesterday and closed everything up so there isn't any light leaks but then where is the air supposed to come through bc I keep the AC Infinity on. I endid up opening the flaps on the bottom but there must be a better way. I must be missing something. Appreciate the help.
I always have mine Blowing air in...Have a duct hose out the top and into a filter...The air pumping in doesn't escape fast enough thru the filter actually puffing the walls of the tent up creating more room for plants. Been doing it this way for a few years... @Rosinallday

why do you want the duct hose into a filter? for smell? so you only use one inline fan for intake? Do you have it hooked up to the bottom or the top of the tent?

Yes one intake fan. It's a bigger fan for a 4 in...really puffs them walls out....You can see the intake up front and the top hole behind it goes thru a 6 inch to a filter. And yes for the smell...where I'm at the whole county don't need to be smelling my antics...Tent full of Chem D I had to replace my filter to let em finish up..Smells like a damn litter box when I open that tent...Filter does well but hard to mask D completely @Rosinallday IMG_20231211_193326.jpg

Well guys it's currently 4 A.M. over here in the east coast, my soundly sleep got interrupted by a hyper realistic violent dream. On nights or should I say early mornings like this I usually use the opportunity to shower/shave because I know there's no chance in me falling back asleep when I have dreams like that. I look at it as an early start to the day instead of cursing at myself over lost sleep.

The thing I learned about sleep is the more you anticipate it the least likely it's gonna come.

I wake up really early a lot of the time, and not by choice. Two slipped discs in my spine, and my leg and foot being not good right now, so if I wake up to pee in the night, the chance I'll go back to sleep isn't great. When the pain levels are worse, I'll wake up sometimes at like 11:30 PM and not be able to sleep anymore. I get tired again around the time I have to actually be up. Lots of Caffeine, and try not to let it bother me. Sometimes I'll be up later, like 4 or 5, but it's rare my alarm actually wakes me up. I set it just in case LOL.

Probably why I can go all day without smoking any weed until I get back to the house in the afternoon, and then, after maybe 2 joints, I finish up the stuff I need to do for that day, and then smoke like a quarter ounce within a few hours.

Reading your post made me think of something.. I think I told you that I had to stop smoking the green per doctor's order. I remember when I quit smoking for a short period in the past I started to have very vivid dreams.

I would love to get myself a puppy either a German Shepard or Husky. I've always had cats pretty much my entire life so having a dog would be a learning curve for me. Cats are cool but I think dogs make for better loyal companions plus they'll protect you.

They really are totally different creatures when it comes to the bond they form with you .
A good dog will only be that if you’re willing to put the time and effort in early to train it .
Owning only cats would be a huge change in so many ways .
Most cats given a bit of yard space will pretty well amuse themself . Dogs demand and deserve your attention and time .
It’s super important to pick a breed that both suites your lifestyle and energy levels . If you’re not willing to regularly walk your dog then get a small indoor lap dog type . If your an outdoor person who’s reasonably active than a larger leaner type K9 is more the go .
I don’t know how many times I’ve seen people buy totally the wrong dog and think it’s going to be happy restrained to the backyard all day unstimulated and then yell at it to shut up when it’s barking all day bored in the backyard giving the neighbours the shits and they wonder why 🤦🏼‍♂️.
Dogs will only give back what they get . Give them your time and they’ll love you for life .
Cats just need a warm window seal and food in the bowl and generally they’re happy 👍🏼.

Some especially do, like mine. 😆

It's not a bad dog, it's a bad owner. 👊👊👊

Not this one. He needs his dog to stalk and attack. He needs walks outdoors too. Lol

When my daughter was younger I'd make her take the dog if she wanted to walk to the park. Dog wouldn't let anyone mess with her. Lol. And a bit intimidating looking. Lol

We had a Golden Labrador growing up and that thing was super protective and loyal . If we went down the beach as kids she would sit out in belly deep water and just watch us swimming further out until we came in .
It would wait on the corner of our street the same time every afternoon waiting for our big Chrysler Valiant ( the late seventies ) to sway around the corner up the driveway after school pick up .
One day a fella walked past on the way to the beach with his snorkelling gear and speargun . He pointed the speargun at our beefy Labby and it went nuts at him . He lived not far up the road and she never forgot him . He was on notice every time he walked past after that .
Great dog she was . It was the first time I felt loss as a kid when her time came .

My best friend of 35 years is also my partner at work. He was sick a while back and didn’t smoke a whole lot. He was telling me that after about three days, he had to force himself to smoke because the dreams were starting to come in and he said they were wild.
We smoke on the way to work and we usually do some dabs in the driveway before we go in to start work. We both have an extremely high tolerance and we usually don’t take breaks from the herb.
It’s interesting that this affects or suppresses dreams.

When I would take my pitty to work, he would lay on anything he could find that wasn’t the floor. A chunk of insulation, pile of his chewed up cardboard or I’d have to lay down a hoodie for him to lay on. When you would give him something to chew up, he would run over to where there would be a pile of extension cords on the floor to chew on it…….every time.

Now, my helper/best friend has a 1 year old pup, Wheeler, that goes to work with us. He does the same exact thing! Has to lay on a pile or chew up shit on a pile. It must be a weird dog thing. IMG_2445.jpeg
