I got a comparison squeeze on two, um, "phenos of the same strain", one enhanced, one au naturale, and unless the technology has gone way downhill from 20 yrs ago, I couldn’t feel the difference...FWIW....

As winter approaches these little fellas ( Barking Gekko) dig in and hibernate .
They actually bark at you if they feel threatened . This one was super chilled and didn’t mind me handling him . He’s big for his type . They like many reptiles will drop the end of their tail as a decoy in the event of being attacked . He’s still got his original due to the white stripes still present on his tail . If they drop the tail , when it re grows it loses its stripes . Going on his size I’m guessing he’s at least 7-8 years old so he’s had a good run .
No they’re not poisonous . We have exceptions

This blokes story is inspiring . I fractured a vertebrae in my back riding sand dunes in my younger years and was lucky to not become a paraplegic . He wasn’t so lucky . The courage and mental fortitude to not only ride again but do what he did is just next level . Spare a few minutes for a great little story .
