It’s nice to just sleep in my own bed again instead a cramped up little bunk built for hobbits . The weather has been an absolute joy as well .
This is the best time of year for us . The summer winds have backed off , the nights are a little chilly but the days are still pleasant .
I did get a laugh though when our little buddy muttly strolled out on the street today to say hello to a couple walking their dog .
Now Alfie the dog would not hurt a fly . He’s so gentle and has never attacked dog nor any other creature for that matter .
These people saw him coming and began stomping their feet on the ground and jumping up and down at the same time to scare him off . He just stood staring at them . They looked hilarious like a cross between standing on and ants nest and attempting to river dance for the first time .
Anyway Alfie turns and strolls back into our driveway flooded by the man of the couples.
He starts with “ I’m a dog trainer and your dog was being aggressive towards our dog “
I replied yeah well I’m an Astronaut and I disagree . The dogs never attacked another dog in his life . 7 years he’s been on this street .
Then he says that’s because when your dog interacts he makes the other dogs submissive .
You know when you get to a point in a conversation where you realise it’s only going to get worse . Well that was it .
Now I appreciate the man and his companion have a right to walk out town without being harassed by other animals and yes we are meant to keep him behind our fence but when the bloke walks up straight up proclaiming righteousness because he’s a dog trainer and knows my dog better than me .
Yeah on your way son .
Gets better , then he goes home and puts it all over Facebook painting us irresponsible dog owners and ramps up the details to gain support .
Well humans being humans it doesn’t take long for a lynch mob to form online .
My wife runs a hair salon from home so a comment was , name her business ,name and shame them . Another comment , walk up the street with a big stick and hit the dog and the owner . This is all based on one persons version of events .
You gotta love Facebook . No wonder I’m not on it .

Don’t worry , I’m continually learning geography around the globe weekly .
Your looking at a small bay within about 4 bays that make up one large bay in a gulf if that makes sense . It’s saltwater and leads up into a mangrove nursery where fish breed .
