Oooh, and good memories !

I got accused of shoplifting shortly after I took that photo. ?

I got the cashier to scan a giant flat of bottled water and returned it to the bed under the cart, before I loaded the belt with groceries.
Somehow I knew the manager approaching us was a cow, even before she started lording over the cashier, who was doing just fine.
The manager cocks her head way too far to the side, as she's pointing at the flat of water under the cart, while she says "would you like ME to put that on the Belt ?"
I knew instantly what she was implying, and in the same moment I also knew damn well that I had paid for it,, but I wasn't ready to tell her that. And it obviously wasn't MY place. ?
I let out a false sigh and beat her at her own game. "Yes" I said, answering her question literally . ?
By now the aisle is choked up , so this Witch hoists the flat up on her gut and is forced to truck it past the front entrance, through the produce aisle, and around all of the customers that have accumulated to see my Sideshow children.

Kind of hard to scan a flat of water when the belt is full isn't it ?
Yep, been there before.
I don't even work here FFS.
Should I tell her ?
Not yet. Not yet.
We finished the transaction and the cashier tried to hand me the receipt.
" I think you charged me twice for this item. " Says I.
The cashier summons the beast.
" I need a manager at checkout one"

Now I can see her face turning bright red.
Now she is lit, Boys.
She is frantically scrolling the lines of my receipt.

Her consequence of logic was swift and just. She suffered the indignity of returning my money that she inadvertently stole, only moments after accusing me of blatantly stealing from her.

Like I said, Good Times.

Homemade ramen tonight, topped with house made Ajitsuke Tamago (soy marinated eggs), fresh carrot and terryaki chicken. And paired with a little Japanese whiskey, neat. It was a long monday.

Son of a..... bro... I LOVE Ramen Noodles. I don't always use the colored salt packets, and that picture is why. Not that I could do that though... you can't visit?

One of these days I'll get out to the mitten!

Ramen from scratch isnt complicated at all, but it does take a while. And its helpful to have a freezer full of chicken backs and pigs trotters.
