…w fresh diced potatoes, and ground peppercorns in a repurposed shaker. Corned Beef Hash…it’s not just for breakfast anymore. I love it and whenever I do go out for breakfast (mostly while traveling) I always look for a place that serves it. They all vary greatly in quality and taste. I really like this one, best canned version I’ve had.

@Ramjet159 @Frosty78 you Aussies really know how to corn your beef in a can ?
Funny you say that. Mrs and kids love corned beef as did my grandparents. I stay away from that though. All for you @spryalout. Enjoy

Viet Banh Mi Sandwich. Had one at lunch, but got an extra for later. Popped it in the air fryer, 5 min @ 350F, toasty French baguette goodness w all the meats, pickled veggies, n extra pate.

Gawd I've wanted a banh mi so badly lately, but it's a good 30 min drive to the nearest good one and I've just been too busy!

Fortunately I made tacos last night so I made myself a taco bowl tonight! Cumin and cilantro rice, pinto beans, ground beef, gauc, homemade pico and little green stuff to round it out. Oh, and plenty of Lizano.

I made a pound of pasta and sauce for dinner tonight... and my teenager, her boyfriend and my 10 yr old ate the whole thing ?

Back in the days when we’d go camping w all my friends my mom would make bacon for breakfast and save the fat. When us kids came back from fishing she’d grill over the campfire or fry the fish with the bacon fat. We also spread it on toast. Cholesterol? Nah we were kids, didn’t even know wtf that did to us lol. I’d still eat it now ?

We have a small bougie food store nearby that carries it but it's also at Whole Foods and on Amazon. They do duck fat, lard, beef tallow. They even make a whole line of pork rinds lol. Haven't tried those though. But I like having an array of animal fats on hand and I've grown to lazy to render it myself so discovering these was a homerun

I've 3 places within 5 minutes, 2 are dynamite and this one place has Pho to die for. They mst boil bones all day long to get that flavor. OMG, look what you've done? now I wanna go get Pho.

Still do. Ya know what I quit eating? All the fake crap. Today it's real butter, whole milk, salt. Bacon fat is always saved and even strained before saving?
