A REAL dog and pwnytail show

Dino Party

💩🔥 💩🔥 💩🔥
I'm so sorry about your loss bro. I dont remember the exact day, but this is the week that we had to put Bubba down last year. For me, what has helped the most, is just having other dogs. They never, ever replace each other, but they do help with the loss. I like to tell them about Bubba, and remind them of him, even though I'm just saying human words to animal dogs, lol. It helps me though.

Condolences in regards to your pup @pwnytailjoe . It just plain hurts. Probably feels like things are piling on atm, but situations can change when you least expect them. You produce some beautiful flowers, and I'm counting on seeing your grows again. In the meantime, you can always hang out in the music dept, and spin us some weirdness....????

Come As You Are
First off, I'm so sorry about your pup!!
I am a huge dog person and they become a large part of our family.
It is a very traumatic experience losing one of them.
I feel your pain.
Next, what a beautiful array of plant you just showed off.
All of them are just lovely, you should be proud of your work.
Lastly, if you every do come back this way, Illinois is fairly canna friendly these days.
A med card is a phone call away, and it will let you grow 5 plants at a time, (not counting clones under 5 inches) legally.
Not perfect, but doable.

Cheers,
WillieP

Brother I’m sorry to hear about your doggo.

I’ll miss checking out your grow buddy. I hope you get everything settled to your benefit.

Much love.

Hopefully you get settled and come back sooner than later. We will be here.

Damn, Im sorry to hear about your dog @pwnytailjoe
I can relate 100% to the reluctance in your post. We had to put our girl of 15 years down in Feb and it still feels new at times.
Hoping wherever you yours land its a home you can be happy in. :joint:

Thanks everyone, for the kind words, I really do appreciate it.

I won't be completely ceasing growing, just down-scaling for the most part.
I'm going to test the waters where were going with a couple Purple Caper Autos I'm starting this week. The biggest challenge is discovery from PG&E and pests/dust. A small greenhouse may be in order.

I'm bouncing between three places right now which makes maintaining more than a handful of projects difficult for me.
Once my indoor is done and we're out of our current place, it will be a lot easier to focus on what I'll be growing for the next 12 months.
I've got really nice results in the 2x4 with the Viparspectra XS1000 so I'm planning on going XS1500 or possibly both.

@WillieP MO and IL are the two likeliest places, Within a couple hours of Effingham and Vandalia as the wife wants to be closer but not too close?
I'd prefer Southern Missouri as I despise snow but definitely not North of the Iowa border.

@UncleB I've got 5 playlists, each repping a different rabbit hole I'm careening down just from Amos' Limiñanas videos. The music dept. severely occupies a good chunk of my ADD.

MO is voting in November on legal rec weed... Looks to be a slam dunk. Can't wait to fill up my flower room with just 1 gals.

Southeast Missouri is best. It's a microclimate actually where the Ozarks meet the Mississippi river valley. Never been an ice storm. Just southwest of STLouis is still very nice and close to Effingham. Good luck!

I'll keep updating this thread until the current run finishes since that will be the actual stopping point.

Google reminded me of why I stopped growing 4 years ago, today.
Three weeks later, I came home one morning to roofers on the property adjacent to us, also same owners.
I peeked through the fence and the owner of the two places, my landlord's father, was walking towards my place with the roofing owner.
I went inside and went to sleep.
The next day, our landlord[daughter] sent the handyman over to check for "loose shingles". The best part, when he walked out back, he absolutely refused to look at the plants, keeping his eyes diverted from the spectacle. The day after that she called and said they were going to start prepping our place for paint[first improvement/upgrade in 22 years besides replacing the AC unit].
All of these except 3 plants ended up going to a friend in Stockton for her first grow.
This was my fourth outdoor grow and last at this place.
The place directly behind was this guy named Craig. He was growing bagseed and didn't listen to any of the advice I told him like use bt mf'r. He gave me a bag of his harvest and it had live caterpillars crawling on the bud.

Fast Purple number 4 is finishing up. I'll chop it tonight, pick a few of the primo buds to dry, and CO2 dry sift the rest.
This one is done for good after this.

I've got two last Flo at seven weeks. I'll add these to the previous two for long-term freezer storage.
In addition to that, there are three of the Fast Purple x Flo at five weeks, the two Fiona's Chem Cake at 5, a second Double True Soulfire, a slew of Fresh Air and Birthday Cake16, as wee as a Dino Party Space Pastry at around 3 weeks.

I'll update those with pics as I have time and they start to look like marijuanas. ?

OH! one last thing... got me some POTM winnings the other day!
Thank you to PhenoHunter staff and @HydroRed
Super stoked to give the STS AND the BBHP S1's a try!

My first time reading through this.

Sorry about the Dog. I hate losing pets.

The Blueberry Muffin stuff you had going, I had never had that before but I currently have a monster plant that's Blueberry Muffin X Blue Cheese (I've been calling it Cheese Muffin) and she's a monster. Very nice growth too :) From what I understand the buds of Blueberry Muffin were "whispy" which, adding Blue Cheese to that would probably change quite a bit as that usually flowers out into "arms" LOL.

Looks like you have some pretty awesome seeds to work with there! I'm loving the way my BBHP is going! She went from being a smaller plant with almost stunted growth at first, and then once she got used to the environment.... Like literally took off! Bigger than the Skywalker plants that were in the very first batch of seeds soaking. Now there's few plants bigger than her so it was a total growth spurt like crazy.

Very cool man. Awesome haul on the beans...This POTM contest is amazing.. Congrats on a well deserved win??

Congrats man! Much deserved
Thanks, both of you! This is an awesome community, in spite of the occasional testiness, and I can really appreciate the focus on the plant.

@Willie
Yeah, it does a bit. I talk a lot of shit[locally] when it comes to whatever strain I'm growing but I never feel it's good enough and a lot of the time it's not and on a few occasions it surpasses my shittalk[Collie Man Kush] and expectations.
Thanks for donating the beans, I'm looking forward to popping them!

Thanks for the kind words.

The BbM was nice. The structure wasn't bad either and I was still getting my shit put back together after a few year hiatus so I wasn't pH'ing water or anything until about mid-flower. I'm actually liking the crosses I made much more though, especially the NSG Fuji Apple Cookie x BbM. And as far as Humboldt Seed Co strains go, I think that one would be mid-to-lower on my list of things I would grow again. That said, the Collie Man Kush from them was absolutely stellar if you like your sour loud with notes of fruity kush. If I hated myself for not keeping a cut of everything I've grown so far, that is the one that would do it.

Come As You Are
covid runs rampant around me. I was the only one coming up neg until we ran out of tests on Sunday. Pretty sure it's + now based on how shitty I feel.
edit- I typed this all out this morning, we got tests in the mail and I'm C+

@Frimpong hooked it up from the Gorilla Fume contest.
Looks like an exclusive phenohunter run is in store so I can start working my way through the beans I've amassed.

PXL_20220810_195623620.jpg

@Bubby's n da lab and @JGG Fiona's Chem Cake getting close at 62 days.
Both phenos look terrific but the green pheno is the standout right now with slightly better smell of chem/mint/and some funk I'm not familiar with.
The purle pheno looks really nice but the smell is very subtle to lacking.
Have to see how they smoke before final judgement.

PXL_20220816_062133503.jpg PXL_20220816_061736376.jpg
structure on both is nearly identical.
PXL_20220816_062145148.jpg

@Dino Party's Space Pastry probably around day 49-56 The smells are complex. There are whiffs of berries, chemicals, skunk, other berries.
It seems to change every day. My buddy said it smells like fig newton?‍♂️
PXL_20220816_061011789.jpg PXL_20220816_060958257.PORTRAIT.jpg

Three of the Fast Purple x Flo. This wa the germination test from the "meh seds are cracked, r they okey?" post.
The two short ones smell of the chocolate-y/berry Flo and look almost identical in structure as the mom. The taller pheno smells of Fast Purple and seems overall unappealing given the pheno I had was a much better producer.
I may wet some more or I might use it as winter cover crop. These re at 65 days.

PXL_20220816_061527967.jpg

I still haven't been able to pin down my humidity issues. I added an intake fan again but the real MVP is the new AC Infinity 6".
I've got it set on the #3 setting and it does just fine to cover my entire canopy in the 5x5. Definitely going to add another kitty corner and one in the 2x4.
