Knock knock!
Ok, i have come to the conclusion that perhaps these intersex problems were created by my inexperience and well, just a bit of confusion on my part.
Let me run it down.
The 12 plants germed and did great and at week 3 i flipped the lights to 12/12.
Within a couple days 5 boys appeared in the mix and 2 more would follow a couple days later.
I then changed lights back to 18/6 and after 10 days i moved the boys out in the flower room where my last crop was a week away from chop.
I sat them off to the side a bit but in decent light.
Within a week all 7 boys freaked plum out and threw pistals everywhere amongst the sacs.

Now, back to the 5 that remained in the tent.
They were flipped back to 12/12 and have never shown any indication of intersex at all. They are blooming great with 3 short and 2 tall phenos.

So,,,, did i cause it?!? I don't know for sure but the evidence is kinda obvious.

Sorry about this @Deebs , i should not have been screwing with their photoperiod as it appears they are easily swayed by that one variable.
Actually i don't know if it was from moving to the differsnt room where lights were on a differant routine or if it was because of lower light becaude of placement or both but I'm certain I did it.
There. I've confessed my sin before you all!

Everything I ever grow indoors is super sensitive to light changes. Not sure exactly why but if I have a leak or timer screws up it usually spells disaster. Nine times out of 10 if I throw something outdoors it's going to start flowering no matter how much daylight we have. If you're looking to find sex early you can't beat Farmer Freeman testing.

Trying to understand, so you had 7 males that you took out of the room with 12/12 (leaving the 5 girls in the 12/12 room), and put them into 18 hours of light, then after 10 days put them back into a 12/12 room?

If I'm understanding correctly, that does seem like a lot of switching up the light cycle, but by my admittedly limited understanding it's pretty weird for true male plants to throw female flowers even if it is stress related... makes it sound like they were male-expressing genetically-female/intersex plants? Did I bring up this theory before? I think I might have. Still, one male plant does it, maybe, 7 male plants throw pistils? Mmmmmm.... don't sound right to me.

Yea i know but the 5 gals are straight girls through and through.
They all 12 got the light change with the differance being going into a room with light an hour differant and sat about 6ft away from the lights. 5 days later they were 50/50 sacs and pistils.

I think it's genetic as well. For a couple reasons.

First, my A90 dude didn't herm, but was sterile! Flowers everywhere, no pollen. There's something up with these genetics.

Second, all of my regs get started under 12/12 and then moved to 18/6 or 24/0 after they're sexed, then under 11.5/12.5 to flower. It hasn't made anything I've run herm. Strong, stable genetics don't just herm from a little light change.
