Any thoughts about relief from Neuropathy?

Also not to sound like a conspiracy theorist and this will be a hott button topic but one of the reported side effects of the Covid-19 Vaxx is neuropathy in the extremities. But as some have mentioned before insulin resistance from sugars can do the same thing, Insulin at high/chronic levels are neurotoxic.

My uncle (rip) had sores on his legs that would take forever to heal. Scab'd over, they just wouldn't heal over. I'm talking 5+ months. I made him a strong cbd tincture (mct based). Applying 4x daily, in 2 months they were 80% healed. In 4 months, they were totally healed over. Just a little red/pink from the new healing skin. It could be worth a shot ro try it out.
I've heard the CBC is much more effective than CBD for treating skin ailments. I'm currently trying to source some to try for myself.

I worry about this as well as a diabetic. I have longer healing times and I get some nerve issues, usually in my thumbs. My doctor told me if I did all the 'right' things on the long term it would take over a year. He had some math on that I don't recall. It was a slow slow .mm per xxx month. I was pretty hardcore with my routine I did not faulter with sweets or anything. It worked. However, hardcore is never sustainable and as life goes something happend and knocked me off the rails. Time to get back on.

Your doctor telling you it was impossible reminds me of a documentary I once saw about a man that was heavy into meditation and breathing techniques. I think he’s known for his breath holding ability and ability to withstand extreme cold. (I could be wrong it’s been awhile) If I recall he did a long run with no shoes in the arctic or some other cold region. He got severe frostbite and the doctor told him it was impossible to heal. This guy proved him wrong with meditation techniques. Doctor. No explanation. Mind & Body.

Many have pre-diabites, especially in the U.S. the S.A.D (Standard American Diet) is just that, sad. While changing my diet helped me, I'm a data guy and I could easily see a pattern change when missing exercise, especially on an extended period. More than a couple days and my sugar pattern immediatly changed. If you eat poorly, or spluge on sweets on holidays etc you will see a spike. Spike don't matter. it will even out, it's that sustained that will get ya. Treadmill not for me, walking around my area is not for me, A.I. headset has worked well for me to get my daily excersize in without being bored out of my skull, & it's fun, entertaining and can be competitive which I like. My main goto is 'Beatsaber' I shreaded #'s on that and it only requires about a 5' round area I'd say.

It was buging me since I first read your post a few days ago, freakin' earwig in my brain.

I was reading this thread to maybe find some suggestions for my uncle who is an alcoholic and has neuropathy in his lower extremities. All the sugar and diabetic talk has me really evaluating my sugar intake. I eat more candy than anyone I know that is my age, 43. Day starts with a Red Bull (only one!) and then mostly soda after that along with all the sweet snacks throughout the day. I am starting to be more conscious of my eating, because I’ve gained some weight over the last two years, but I am severely addicted to sweets.

Grow stevia & make your own "sugar liquid" from it 👍👍 it has a sort of artificial sweetener vibe but it's totally natural. Forget this idea entirely if you don't like Sweet N Low or Equal, but of you don't mind them, look into growing and harvesting your own stevia

Also HONEY 🤘

It's all personal, but since you've taken note of the situation, you've already got an eye on it! Good luck.

I quit all extra sugar 1 week ago. I've had a sweet tooth ever since I quit drinking, but I had no idea how hearty it was. In the last week I've only had 4 Mountain Dews, 2 large coffees with cream and sugar, and 3 lemon sandwich cookies. I realized that I was intaking more empty sugar calories in a day than I do now in a week.

Why the hell don't they tell me to give up stuff I hate instead? Sweet tooth is not worth the quality of life I wish to attain.

Quitting sugars is the hardest thing for me, harder than stopping herb imo. Crave sweets, especially pastries. I've cut back on sodas, sweets, and coffee creamer. But can't stand nutrasweet/aspartame. Irritates my stomach. I just try to limit intake. A soda for dinner, rare pastry and 1 coffee per day.

I bought a Stevia plant last year and had it in a pot next to the garden. It grew well, but kind of got forgotten about until it was too late. We never even researched harvesting/processing. For this upcoming season, I will plan to do some research on stevia and how to process sugar beets. My soil has proven to be very effective at growing root vegetables. Got a good haul of potatoes, carrots and beets last summer which got me thinking about the sugar beets.
As far as honey, I haven’t mustered up the courage to try my hand at bee keeping yet.

Have you tried making any of your edibles with vegetable glycerin? It is not as sweet as sugar, but is sweet.
If you make a topical use coco nut oil, as it helps getting into the skin.
I'm really shy about posting this one up, The 4th stage of water.
I fell into this rabbit hole a few years ago, got big flamed, and decided to enjoy it all to myself, LOL!
Strap up, hang on, as flipped me right out!
Our bodies are 70% water.
Where are the water veins at?
Where is this container of water at?
And just how in the fuck, does it matter?
It's right under your skin!
We have a very complex system, of nerves and water (gel like substance, water) .
Fascia, like in the heel pain, Plantar Fasciitis
Much is still unknown about it.
But IMHO, here is where I'd be super focused on!
I know the pain your going through, as my late mother suffered terrible pains in her legs and feet.
I'd help her struggle to get the support hose on her legs. She was tough as nails, but that shit broke her.
She would NEVER try any cannabis relief items at all.
Once I got her to take some information to them, about possible cannabis relief, and they told her, just keep taking your Gabapentin, and use the support hose, fucking quacks!
I removed so many bottles of that shit after she died. I hate with a passion, 90% of the AMA, and their doctors.
I do NOT hate doctors. Except the big headed POS that talk down to you, I do not put up with that anymore.
Wishing the best for ya!!

I have plenty of Glycerin. I'll try to use it in my edibles. I made a Glycerin/ Cannabis sweetener for my coffee but it gives me the shits . How does it measure out compared to sugar?

Something that worked for me up to a point, but then my condition (compressed & ruptured lumbar discs) got so bad it required surgery. .. but, I swear for a while there I thought I'd be able to avoid surgery entirely

YOGA 🙏. in my case, YRG Fitness/DDP Yoga. Diamond Dallas Page. I find specifically the "Wake-Up" routine first thing in the morning, and the "Energy" routine 3-5 times a week or literally as often as you can handle, were my saving graces.

--did you know that a broken back is what took him out of wrestling? I didn't. Even more impressive, did you know he actually STARTED professionally wrestling at 35?! 😮 Most athletes are getting OUT OF sports at that age. I think that's pretty impressive.

Another thing I did that was VERY useful: I took a local yoga class that advertised $25 for 5 days, what was great about this is that I was able to get Hands-on instruction on certain moves and poses, and I was able to feel it out like how my body felt holding poses as I was being directed. I genuinely feel this helped me hold these postures correctly at home on my own.

Well, today might as well be the day. Gonna go Hardcore. 1 Mtn Dew per day until they are gone, and no empty calories. No matter how I slice it, there's just no way I'm gonna give up my edibles. I will try to find some low sugar recipes for them. RSO and Hashcaps are sugar free, so they may step in to reduce edible consumption but, edibles are off the table. I've got 4 big coffee cans full of miscellaneous edibles, and I just now made a batch of stoney pumpkin squares. OK, I'll hold myself to 3 edibles per day.

WTF am I getting myself into? Without change, something sleeps inside us. The sleeper must awaken!

GERONIMO!!!!

I would recommend monk fruit extract as a 0 calorie 0 sugar sweetener. You can get it from nuts.com

But as always do your own research before going ahead with that. Monk fruit extract is extremely sweet so you use a lot less than sugar and there will be a learning curve in getting the amounts right.

I tried Monk fruit sweetener about 2 years ago. I noticed a tightening of the chest after a week or 2, I quit right then and the problem abated. I found some research later that tied Monk fruit sweeteners to some cardiac concerns.
Just my personal experience.

I think you're thinking of erythritol which is typically added to monk fruit products. The monk fruit extract I use has no erythritol added. The only mention I find on the internet with monk fruit and cardiac issues is mentioning that erythritol is added into monk fruit products.

As a sweetener I use allulose quite often for edibles. I find it to be not quite as sweet as table sugar, but you can spike it with a hint of monk fruit or stevia to push it over the edge. I live on edible and have a wicked sweet tooth, and this works for me. I’ve researched artificial sweeteners quite a bit, and although none of them are perfect, these seem to be the least bad.
Neuropathy sucks. I had a severe B12 deficiency a few years ago that caused nerve damage in my feet. I supplement daily with B12 and magnesium (super important to everything in your body) and the numbness and achyness has greatly improved over the years.
