Bout to flip these doods so I can have pollen's dried, collected, stored, and have space cleaned up before the lady tent gets to bud setting. Gave them a bronners and DE spray down a couple days ago. Just now showered them with plain water to wash away the residue. IMG_20201215_191816663~2.jpg
Still trying to figure how I to go about isolating them from each other so no pollen's get mixed....

Any tips or ideas in that department out there?

Was thinking of getting them each their own tote and only open and collect one at a time. Washing hands and misting myself with water in-between plants...if more than one needs to get done the same day. But will probly shoot for different days between plants.

HammerHead testers DBMH x Kona Sunset.

Should have vegged a lil longer and hit them with some training....But that's what I get for being impatient followed by laziness. I only topped the first/older 3 and did nothing to the smaller/younger ones. Future runs well get longer veg and training starting at a young age. I'll stop bumping my gums now and get on with it.

Flipped the first week of November, so we're roughly 6 from flip to 12/12 but only 5 from when buds started forming (I usually start counting from here).

Left those puney lowers for the reveg afterwards. These deserve a proper go at it...I know it's not over yet but I dont feel like I did them justice. Think I'll thin down to re-run my favorite 4 of the bunch, pending smoke tests. Seeing that I'm revegging I'll have plenty of time to get a feel for each pheno before having to make the cuts. I'm currently thinking the runted stunted one will probly be the only one I won't even attempt a reveg. But, then again, a lot can change before it's over. So maybe I will make the attempt, but unless she completely knocks my socks off in the smoke test, she's getting the axe.

Other 4 coming up in next post.

Some of the buds look to be seeded and not too sure why. I still can't find any nanners and barely used any MacV2 pollen on the WhippedOranges that spent a night or two in isolation before bringing her back in. Gonna have to thoroughly clean my room and the tent before the next round goes in. Next plants coming up shortly

Damn Mo...I gonna have to grind the gears on this one.

My gut is telling me that less is more in this situation.
I know, Im kinda getting a bad feeling myself about it. Think I'm trying to do too much all at once again and just setting myself up for disaster.

So, gonna make an executive decision here and cut my ass off right now.

Original Slymeball and Arise x Slymball will be the only pollen flying this round. Which means my male F2 will get axed today. I have more Whipped Banana (F1 and F2) and still have more Banana Fruit Snax also. So these will get axed also and operation banana will be pushed back to another time.

Thanks Buck! Always appreciate you and your input man?

Stepping up the collection and storage game will help creating a nice variety to choose from. Collect from 4-5 different males a year and you'll have a nice stash.

I no time it'll be "imma hit this with that" and "that should be a good combination" Flickin' Beans of all shapes n' sizes

Just so they don't go to complete waste, I'm gonna actually keep them all alive for the time being to let them grow more foliage. Then, before balls start dropping I'll chop em up and use as mulch in the other pots instead of just throwing out in my recycled soil pile. Keeping a healthy amount of mulch in the pot keeps the rollie's occupied in the soil and off my plants. Plus I just like using as mulch anyway to help keep the soil happy and, in turn, the plants.

That's a solid idea there Buck! Moving forward, to play it safe, I'll likely keep eyes peeled for 1 solid male per run and collect from him and him alone and repeat until I build up a decent library... Then it'll be on! I'm forever in your debt homie? I'll get my shit together someday... Hopefully sooner than later

:clapping:

Takes guts.

I want to build tents out of photography fabric. I used a makeshift one to delay pollination when making the CnC crosses. I got 1 f-stop which blocks half the light. Pretty tight weave and with slight negative pressure I see reasonable containment achievable by a knuckle dragger such as myself.

Those hammer testers are frosty. How do they smell?
I was listening to a future cannabis podcast and they were talking about dealing with Rollie pollies and basically came to the conclusion that you need to give them something else to munch on. Also something about dry pockets in the soil, but my brain isn’t firing on all cylinders right now so...yeah haha

I'll have to report back to you on the smells... Between my work schedule (6 days/wk, gotta be gone by @7am, 8+ hour shifts) and my light schedule (8pm-8am), cooking for and entertaining my daughter, and everything else going on all coupled with this plant count just kinda makes doing things in there feel like a chore atm. I can't really get any personal time in with any of them like I'd like and used to.

I think I'm gonna go back to my 5gal fabric smart pots when these come down. 4 pots, maybe 5 on next incoming round as I'm still waiting for one to show, trained and bushed out. I need to run through a ton of seeds but I more like spending personal, quality time with my plants individually. I feel my best work is when I get this quality time in and I just can't do that currently the way things are atm. I like variety and these square pots, but it's not working out for me currently. So, I'll be going back to that.

I might have to check out that podcast and listen to that discussion. But ya, giving them something to munch on seems to be the only way to keep them off seeing as I'm having a hell of a time trying to eradicate them.... There's soooo fuckin many and no matter how many I kill (and I try to kill em whenever I seem em) but I just can't seem to shake em.

I wish I could fire up my lights sooner in the day so id have more time to spend with them...but running electricity during peak hours gets expensive. 8pm is when off-peak hours start and the bill is more manageable that way. She watches me and helps out here and there in both departments. Mostly when she wants me to hurry up so we can hangout?

Snapped this last night after stretching and shaving their legs again.

I think I've slowed them down well enough. So gonna be putting the QB back in there to kick these into gear. Also, I was sitting there looking at those runts in the back. I'll let them ride this one out. But, don't think I'll be entertaining these slow boat from China ass plants in the future. My Slymeball F2 (bottom middle) was cracked a week after (7-10days) everything else and she's almost keeping up with the vigor of the Arise x Slymeball to her right. That Banana Fruit Snax to the left was just shooting for the stars, had to stop her in her tracks. Gonna have to prop up the ones that stayed behind when I flip to at least start out with an even canopy, then adjust from there as they progress.

Finally lined my tent with some new strawberry plants... Couldn't find any locally (obviously out of season, but I needed some for my indoor....I prefer to have them growing year-round) so sought out and purchased some dry roots online. They looked good upon arrival...

Watered everything... Fruits to come ?

Still trying to figure how I to go about isolating
Hey, Mo.
The clear bags I had over my plants seemed to work well enough. They spent a couple weeks in there with no ill effects.

Realistic portions always seems wise.

This pollen business is kind of a pain in the butt , eh ?
I am not really set up for this. Figured, one male or 10 , the elapsed tine is equal. Concurrent is more effective than consecutive in this case. I had to shut down my whole nursery for a month. I only went big because I finally got my hands on all of the building blocks that I was interested in. Wont be doing that again for many a minute.

Decide what beans you can't live without , and then do whatever you have to get them.

Giving the HammerHeads some rubbin's... @Idlewilder

#2 is a strong tutti-frutti, mixed berry type smell

#3, guess I missed that one, I'll have to circle back

#5, didn't get much of anything on that one

#6 had an old school chronic smell

#7 was fruity-floral and had an excessive stickiness

#8 was all old school juicy fruit stick gum

#9 smelled generic

#10 old school chronic

Got the QB back up, let's kick this into gear now

I may have missed that one...the plants in bags for a couple weeks... Ya pollen business can be a pain, but it's mostly fun... Mainly when it goes as planned, but like you, I'm not really set up for it either. I'm trying to get there. With the gromies I'm surrounding myself with it shan't be too long before I get some serious work going on.

This group we have going on and building here is truly something special and I have high hopes of what's to come ?
