Still trying to figure how I to go about isolating them from each other so no pollen's get mixed....
Any tips or ideas in that department out there?
Hey man, I've got an idea for you. Hopefully I can explain it without pics, but if needed, I'll get some pics too...
So it'll take 2x 2 liter (or whatever size you have) bottles per male.
Cut one in half about equally around the circumference, and the other about an inch from the bottom, around the circumference.
Use the first bottle's bottom as the reservoir, and the top half inverted, to hold your cuts stable through the neck hole.
Second bottle bottom comes next, sitting inside the first top.
This is you pollen collection tray. Cut from the outside, to the center, then 1/4"-1/2" hole in the center, for the stems to go through.
(The bottom of bottles are usually thicker, so you might wanna melt the hole through....way easier, but stinks)
Trim all the branches you want to flower off the plant, and defoliate all fan leaves.
Stick your bouquet through the middle of the pollen collection layer (second bottle, bottom inch), and stabilization / air layer (first bottle top, inverted), down into your reservoir layer (first bottle bottom half)
Add your second bottle, top 90% which will be your quarantine top/dome. I'd advise cutting about a 1" slit from bottom up, in one spot, to allow the top bottle to fit inside the bottom... Or slit the bottom bottle so it's fits in underneath the top bottle.
This time of year, depending what hemisphere you're in, you can just stick them in a window, but if you cap the bottle, I'd imagine you can keep them in the room with the gals long enough to drop some pollen into your collection trays. (Second bottle's bottom inch)
Hope that wasn't too confusing, but I'd totally understand if you have questions. Good luck!
Or, umm, y'know, tie bags around em lol
