I've grown a few different aloes, tried to root a leaf off an aloe ferox after I snapped the main stalk. I gave up after a month or so of it sitting in dirt with nothing doing. Another tree aloe I have got root rot in the fall before I brought it inside. The bark started to peel off the trunk, thought for sure it was done for but then it started to send roots from the crown down along the stem between the wood and the bark. It was looking for soil, so I cut it off stuck it in dirt and off it went it's taller than me now.Wassup! Greetings? my fellow pHam-a-lama-ding-dongs!
Figured I'm gonna try my hand at something new tonight...
Was pruning and repotting some aloe vera recently. In my attempt to reduce waste and put everything to use, I held on to some of the cuttings...

First time ever, gonna attempt to root these here aloe vera leaflets. They look a bit rough and I could easily just toss them in the recycle pile, but I figured 'what the hell! Let's see if we can produce more plants from what would be "waste"/compost!
From what I understand, it's quite difficult to do, but I'm up for the try/challenge. Anyone ever tried/done this before? Any and all tips are welcomed and encouraged, thanks! ?
Ya, I honestly don't have any high hopes of success on this one. Have a feeling they're just gonna sit there doing nothing til they rot or I get tired of looking at em, whichever comes first I guess?I've grown a few different aloes, tried to root a leaf off an aloe ferox after I snapped the main stalk. Usually aloes will send offshoots and they're the way to go for propagation. I'm sure you already know that though. Good luck with your experiment, If it works let us know.
Oh yeah man, give it a shot.Ya, I honestly don't have any high hopes of success on this one. Have a feeling they're just gonna sit there doing nothing til they rot or I get tired of looking at em, whichever comes first I guess?
That's pretty cool the tree aloe rooted for ya tho! Thanks for the input?
I have a few leaves left that I think I'm gonna try another experiment with, cause what the hell ? Think I'm gonna try putting one in a cup with a small amount of water in the bottom. Another, I'm gonna try with a rooting plug. And the last one, I might just trying some kind of humidity, vs straight wet contact, approach. If that don't work then they'll just go into the recycle pile, where they would've gone anyway, so no skin off my back if I fail, but 'pHuck yeah!' if I can get one to root!!
Yes, I was separating/repotting one when the cuttings were taken.Oh yeah man, give it a shot.
Does your Aloe Vera send out offsets? One of my aloe's has a bunch of offsets right now, have to separate them out every spring. At least they're easy to give away.
Thanks brotha! Yup, that's what we're going for!Everything looking good in here, bout to explode when you flip them @MO_Grow
I'm really ?excited? about it, if ya know what I mean! You and the plants are gonna love their new environment. I've been wanting the new controller myself ?
You think you could take a vid of you assembling the tent .Thanks brotha! Yup, that's what we're going for!

Oh, ya, I'm really excited too!!?
Sorry, I didn't make a vid of setup... but...You think you could take a vid of you assembling the tent .
I just wanna check if I’m the only one who makes it look harder than childbirth
AC seem to make all quality gear . I was after a tent from them initially but when they first advertised they had a delay on stock so I ended up with a SpiderFarmer tent which has been solid besides the floor liner losing some coating .Sorry, I didn't make a vid of setup... but...
Doood, this was actually the easiest tent I've ever setup, not to mention the nicest!
Here's my old junky joint

Which look(s) like shit, jacked up/uneven stitching, light leaks everywhere, and a pain in the ? ass to assemble and disassemble since day one... I've always and struggled with what I have experienced with to date...
Not this bad boy!!

Poles are super thick, sturdy, and all pieced together like butter... Literally! Which is probably where I've struggled the most in the past, getting the damn poles and tent to mate properly. Setup took maybe 15-20 minutes on this new one and was a piece of cake! Looks very straight, neat, and clean. Zipper feels super smooth, no resistance anywhere, but makes a solid seal, no leaks I can detect.
Here's my attempt at a video (after setup and getting plants moved in) to show how well it seals in light. I'm in a darked out room, with tent and lights on, did a walk around, then opened up...
Well I tried attaching, whether it works or not idk?
If not, I'll try again later... More updates to come?
Yes they sure do... And I didn't fully realize until getting this setup. The quality vs price point is second to none. Very hard to find things of quality at such affordable pricing...I think I paid around the same price, if not more, on that crappy old no brand tent above at that time. You definitely wouldn't be sorry to grab one at some point in my opinion! ?AC seem to make all quality gear . Looks like a solid product . I’d look at one down the track for sure ?
