If people would turn off their TVs and social media and help their neighbors, they’d see that we’re in this together!
Example: a town about an hour away from me a guy went to get tp for his wife who is returning home from the hospital (not Corona related). Couldn’t find any. Ends up in staples and they have some, but not much. He grabs what’s left as a little old lady approaches.....she is also out. The gentleman explains his story and then tells the old lady that he will split the tp with her. So, out in the parking lot, dividing tp like it a drug deal, the lady offers him $20. He declines. She asks if he wants to smoke a joint. Ten minutes later, he’s stoned as shit in Staples parking lot with an old hippy lady!
Another example: my mom lives on the East coast. She went to the store last night and she said not one person was smiling and a few were freaking out about keeping distances.
Now, these are just the two extreme spectrums, but choose for yourself.....happiness in a time of misery or be the misery.

Very happy here.....just sad to see so much denial for something so visible. I feel for those of you suffering financially/w job loss/etc. Our losses are all on paper. We are debt free though....so thankfully...nobody is ridin our ass on that front. It's gonna be really rough on quite a few folks though, for sure. Lotsa folks don't know the word "Save".....and that's gonna get them in this instance. We''re already scheming as to what to do with "the checks" that are reportedly forthcoming. We certainly don't need the handout here. Shouldn't be too hard to find someone with true need though...should we receive such a thing....considering the impact all of this is gonna have...for a LONG time.
I've been watching my neighbors homes cus most are somewhere else/somewhere warmer right now.....and we're already seeing the losers start to hit houses...more so than normal. I hope this isn't the way it's gonna go down.... but I dug out the pistol.....just in case. Fuck i hate thinking like that. Such is why I only own the one gun...and that was something I inherited....I didn't buy it. Gave all of that shit away in '90 when i started growing commercially and was full on noided out....
just tryin to stay busy......and no...I don't watch TV. No cable/etc here. Haven't had that shit in house for 6-7 years now. The wife watches the news but I make her wear the earbuds cus I just can't take all of the lies/backtracking/lameness that happens daily now. Just amazing. So sad.
So if ya run out of something...what will ya miss the most? For me...it's milk. Gotta have my Cappi's in the AM..... have a few gallons frozen.....but that's always ganky so we'll see how long i can play this out before I hit the end. If anything draws me to the store...that'll be it....
I'm hearing crazy rumors about a total lockdown. It seemed to work in China......but here in America.....a faction of the population will not listen and many do not believe anyone should be able to tell them what to do. That's gonna be where the Guard comes in.

My sis-in-law texted us a pic of costco in her area just now. Line all the way around the building. Looks like the dolts all got the message yesterday that this is.....um...real.....and may last into the Summer. She said folks were running/pushing to get to the TP and hand sanitizer. Fuck me. Really?
I'm gonna try to keep some folks working by remodeling the kitchen and continuing to do home projects during the down time. Nobody outside of the government saw this coming....so gotta wonder if supplies like fridges and stuff will be on sale...or hard as fuck to get in the coming months? Gonna be interesting to see how it all shakes out. I know a few of yaz are in the trades. I hope the jobs you had lined up are still on. We wavered for a second and thought maybe we should put this all on hold....but it might be beneficial for all parties involved if we continue on as planned.

I told her 6 days ago, if you stay here, you're here for the duration - no exceptions.
After 3 days, the stress began. on day 4, the 'they didn't say you can't visit people, just no more than 10 people' conversation happened, and last night, day 5, the inevitable emotional argument. I completely understand her feelings, as I like hibernation no more than she does, but when morning came, she was still sulking. The 'I know it's not your fault, but...' conversation lasted about 20 minutes, and I grokked what needed to be done - I gave in. I caved. I relented.
I agreed it would be ok if she left just to visit and toke up with her friend for a couple of hours, going thru the Starbucks drive thru next town over on the way. I asked her to call me when she was on her way back. As soon as she left, I gathered up all her belongings, a half ounce of Hutter's Stash, a pack of zig zags, and took them to her place, leaving her keys with them as I left. Got home and changed the access code on the security gate. Came inside, washed my hands, and made an omelet, wheat toast, and some fresh coffee. Toked up. Waiting on the phone call. Waiting on the world. Sure is peaceful again. ?

Normal delivery = no food-driver contact
Contactless delivery = driver (contaminates) handles package, puts insulated bag on ground (over and over)

Follow these steps and the drivers will never handle your food.
Also don't forget to tip your driver. We are about to be incomeless, and there's no unemployment insurance.

I've been feeling the same way for about a week. Thinking I've overreacted, but my area just keeps getting worse. So I think I did take the proper measures to keep my family safe. They're talking of running out of hospital beds around here.

I’ve been going back and forth myself. Am I overreacting or and I under reacting. Then my girlfriend gets sick yesterday. Calls her doctor and they just go over a few symptoms and then tell her if it’s not better by Monday, then call back. Soooo, they want you to get tested, but they don’t want to test?! We have compared all of her symptoms and some line up with the virus, but not all. I feel 100% fine.....I blame it on the amount of cannabis I smoke, if the virus is stoned, it can’t do it’s job! Lol.
Now, I have been in contact with a friend who is in the biological sector of the army. He said if she does have it,as long as she is healthy with no respiratory issues, it will be just like the flu. He flat out told me, the virus won’t kill any more people than the common flu, it’s the civil unrest from all these idiots stock piling five years worth of toilet paper and sanitizer that’s turning into the issue!
Im fortunate that I live in a rural area, grew up farming and hunting. If shit hits the fan around me, I know how to forage and defend!
