Backups are goodwill see, I've got duplicates if I fubared it. They look a little droopy after moving from the aero to cubes but they need to establish roots if they wanna be the new moms .

I thought a community thread for grow hacks would be helpful. Especially for newer growers
My first grow back is a splint for broken branches. I like to take a drinking straw cut off a piece couple inches or so, split it long ways and wrap it around the broke branch like a splint. After its in place around the branch just put a piece of tape on it to keep it tight on the branch.
I don't have a pic at the moment. I'll post one next time I use this method
Those are both good battlefield medic techniques. Never thought of tin tape but yeah I can see how that would fly for a lot of injuries. For those times when the damage involves splitting right off the main stalk, I like to use tongue depressors and wire ties twisted down snug with pliers, I also use some generic neosporin on the seam where the two pieces come together. Don't know if it helps but maybe help fight infection in the wound until it can heal.I use tin tape myself, it's quite rigid when folded over the limb and wrapped around.
That straw trick is a good one too. ?

I used the roll for my cages. They literally last at least ten years.Concrete Reinforcing Mesh - You can get it by the roll (for allot $$$) or a 42"x7' foot sheet for $10 at lowes/hd by the cement and rebar stuff. Half the time it's rusted/super clean.
I paint them white and use for scrogging, zip tied to the pvc frame for rigidity. and I prefer the 6" inch square sizes now over anything else, it's perfect for how I grow.

Yeah the rolls are a better metal alloy I think? they wont corrode the same I noticed sitting outdoors and likely will only ever get thrown out after a decade of dents/warping from falling branches/trees/deer/shenanigansI used the roll for my cages. They literally last at least ten years.
I like running one of these in the other parts of the house too!! Keep that dust down. Good call on the drainage holes!View attachment 177222
Resetting a CHEPA filter (cheap HEPA).
Got two running 24/7 in the indoor grow space.

Pro tip: there are several small holes in the bottom that are for water drainage. (Think window usage.)
Tape the holes for a good seal.
Bro I totally LOVE that! As a not real Engineer, I can still appreciate this, because for the Computer nerd in me, I watched when Alienware Gaming Desktops first came out, and they were easy to get up to 8 grand, because they basically used the very best performance parts, but assembled it for you. Best and fastest Motherboard, RAM, Drives, Video Card, everything, but if you ordered those yourself, and put it together, it was about 1500 dollars at the time. And if you had a case and plexiglass cutter, you could even design the cut out yourself to add the LED lights in the case and make it pop lol. This worked great for me the other day, and it even added a splash of color to the decor. 🤣🤣🤣
Have a big filter, with a smaller fan, and no reducer collar?
Filter was for a 12" with no collar, fan is an 8". A new collar + reducer was order only and $ 🤑, so I made this.

Drywall bucket lid with a 8" cutout for an 8" starting collar that I already had.

Siliconed the collar in after bending the locking tabs down, then screwed the lid to the filter top. Saved me $50+, and the waiting for a special order. 🤗🤗🤗
I love it, also as a not real engineer, but as a drywaller. Now when I look at the mountain of bucket lids I have, I’ll see a stack of 12 to 8 inch reducer gaskets!Bro I totally LOVE that! As a not real Engineer, I can still appreciate this, because for the Computer nerd in me,
Or 12 to 6 and so on. LmfaoI love it, also as a not real engineer, but as a drywaller. Now when I look at the mountain of bucket lids I have, I’ll see a stack of 12 to 8 inch reducer gaskets!
Oh trust me…….I know. I’ve used plenty! 🤣Those lids also make good drip/runoff catchers for smaller pots. Lol
Ha my mom does same thing, I remember when i opened a draw and was wondering why are there 100’s of cut plastic window blinds . makes sense ehMy simple plant tag hack here! Every 6 months to a year, one or more of our mini blinds crap out on us, so I break them down and cut the strips into 8 inch lengths.
I'm just too cheap to buy plastic marker tags, and my sharpie markings last, even on long term grows! When the grow is done, I cut off the top of the tag with the details on it, and leave it in the pre burp bins for the initial 7 day dry. Next I tape the details to my burping jar, and I'll not forget who is who!
