Starting to narrow down the list of whats poppin in 2021. So far I have four for sure:
Watermelon Hashfighter Strayfox
Avenue of the Giants Twenty20
Forbidden Fruit x Bubblegum Csi Humboldt
HAOG BX3 Schwaggy seeds
I will be making more decisions. I plan to sift many packs. I am hoping for a bad ass watermelon stud. More to come.....
@Schwaggy P has a HA OG Bx3? I was not aware of this. I am currently looking through some of his HA OG Bx1 in hopes of finding a nice stud.
This showed up today...really curious as to what is in the jager fallen soldiers pack, I only saw one jager cross besides the s1s. View attachment 55119 the FF crosses will make some tasty dabs and maybe some nice terp bombs to build on.
Caleb constantly impresses me with how incredible his customer service is. Always going above and beyond. Positive vibes...

I think it is time to get a tent. Space is a major issue, so i am gonna have to make a 2x3 perpetual setup work. Supply is not coming from the tent so i can focus on phenohunting, preservation and breeding albeit on a very small scale. I will be piecing together my tent. I want to go led, any suggestions for a small but powerful unit to fit my circumstances?

For what you’re wanting to do this should be great

This is version 2, you could probably find version 1 for cheaper if necessary.

Not sure if I've mentioned this here or not, but if you have any DIY skill, it's very easy and inexpensive to rig up a frame to hold screw-in LEDs(SILs).

I've been growing under SILs for a few years now and love the adaptability. Changing spectrum and intensity is as simple as changing 'bulbs'. Using 60w and 100 watt 'equivalent' (usually around 10 and 15 watts respectively) of 5000K(veg) and 3000K(bloom) has worked very well for me. It also allows for a very even spread with very few dark spots.

Here's a 4x4 I use for mostly veg, as I've found having the fixtures touching each other, as opposed to the small space between each socket on this unit, makes for a big jump in intensity. This unit can be run with from 1 to 16 SILs, and when full puts out about 160 or 240 watts. It fits beautifully in a 2x2, or can be paired up in a 2x4.

Is 65 watts enough juice? I was looking at some in the 150-200watt range.
If you’re focusing on bud production and weight then no but for what you listed then yes. I’ve seen people flower plants out with one of those and pull 2-3ozs so it should be effective with making seeds, you can grab two or go with Agent Trent idea and DIY it. I run my veg light at 50watts in a 2.5x2.5 and you see how my plants are in the solos

The HLG 65 would be fine for veg in a 2x2 but my plants never liked flowering under it, probably because of the 4000k spectrum. They used to make a 3500k version I think but they're impossible to find now, which is unfortunate. What's your budget G?

A duo of daisies from Timber would be perfect. Since it's technically two fixtures you can adjust heights on each COB which is always nice. But it's definitely on the upper end of the cost spectrum. Even a single pendant would get you started though and would be plenty for a small hunt or chuck.

A Rapid LED pendant or two would also be cool, but again, little pricey.

Last suggestion is an HLG100 RSpec. Again, a little underpowered for weight but totally adequate for your purposes... and its better than a single pendant IMO just because it gives more even coverage.

At this point spiderfarmer is just as expensive and not as good and Mars is a little cheaper but definitely not as good (but I have one and it's fine, it will definitely grow weed), so outside of DIY that's what I'd go with. Also check Craigslist, I've seen some amazing deals on grow lights from people who give up after their first attempt lol.

I don't suppose you documented your build and could throw a post up in the DIY section on that? I'm plenty handy but have almost zero experience with electrical beyond wiring in an outlet, but I assume this isn't much harder. I was thinking about building a smaller version of this that I could use to supplement IR in the winter next to my QBs

I hadn't really set a budget, i am as newbie as it gets when talking growlights and such. I have a 4 ft 8tube t5 hat i have used for starts and a couple bonsai sultan seed runs. That is my indoor experience and knowledge. I was looking at the CA lightworks 275 programmable, but it is pricey.

I stand corrected.... THATS the upper end of the price spectrum lol. Some people love those CLW lights but I'm just not a fan of blurple lights, even high end ones. It's not even the efficacy, it's that you can't see your plants properly under them so it's harder to read them and react to their needs imo

As I am utterly unqualified in any way to speak of wiring, I don't feel comfortable telling someone else how to do it; it would be the stupid leading the blind, as it were. ;) I would hate to miss a step and have someone suffer damage due to my mistake.

Basically though, colour coding is your friend. Two strand wire cords are generally silver and gold/copper coloured, as are the connections on the sockets. I've never wired an outlet, so you are more experienced than I was when I began.

I've built 5 or 6 different versions of this style and have had no trouble. These lights provide the only illumination in my 18"x30" 2'x2', 2'x4' and 3'x3' tents. The sockets are about $2 each and I just cannibalized extension cords for wiring. (Again, this is my experience, I am NOT giving instructions and take no responsibility for others. I may well be doing some dumb shit I'm not even aware of.)

I hope my weaselly non-answer was of some use to you. :)

If u have the controller u can change the spectrum I guess . I just don't have it lol
