This winter has been a weird one for Ol' Hughie. I decided, mostly just on a whim, to try and make some seeds, as I have previously made a deal with the wifey not to flower anything out for a while. Still can't imagine what it must be like to live in a legal state. Anyway, I'm having odd shit happen that I've never had happen before. Killed off a tray of seedlings - a first! - due to some soil pathogen. OK. Weird, but OK. I guess.
Now, I seem to be growing... HOPS??? I guess trying to avoid driving 50 miles to get FFOF has opened me up to some new experiences. Totally something that I've never seen before. Three of my cups have a second plant growing in them. One just looked like a blade of grass, so I trashed it, but look at these two. I've run a plant identifier or 2 on them and Hops seems possible. Going to send pic to botanist buddy to try and ID wtf this is.
I'm beginning to think I'm paying the price now for entering into a project all half-assed and by the seat of my pants. Also thinking I may try and move from soil into hempy buckets this year. Georgia is fucked for soil anyway - it has to contain a large percentage of pine products, because the state is run by GeorgiaPacific lumber. Starting to get a little spun out here.
Anyway, I've taken the liberty of expressing my current mood pictorially.
