"No man is so foolish but he may sometimes give another good counsel, and no man so wise that he may not easily err if he takes no other counsel than his own. He that is taught only by himself has a fool for a master." --- Hunter S. Thompson
Well, color ol' Hughie a fool this morning. Shee-it. You'd think I'd be used to it by now, but not really.
Failure to adequately vet internet info has caused me to kill my seeds by using a way too strong a peroxide mix when soaking, pre-germ. I usually try to double or triple check online weed info, but not this time. Seems as though I must've used 4x the strength of solution. At least that's what I'm guessing has happened, because I've never had much of a problem with seedlings before. Only 3 are above ground, and only 1 looks particularly happy about it. A new phenomenon for me. I dug around in a couple of cups, looking for clues, and some of them look frizzle-fried and some of them just looked kind of like empty husks.
Time to regroup, pop some more beans, and try to learn something from it. I know it's not the end of the world, but I'm still a noob and a poor one at that, and losing plants and seeds is still something I'm trying to get used to.
If this is not a thing, improperly diluted H2O2, please let me know. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.
