I'm a huge fan of these boneheads. Their version of Talk Dirty to Me is one of my all time favorite covers, which amuses me since I hate the original.

Everyone really likes this song until it dawns on them what it’s actually about. Don’t know??? Listen to the words carefully.

Go find this (even on faith no mores channel) where they haven’t muted parts of the lyrics. It’s insane.I still like it. It's fucking art, and art should deal with difficult topics from time to time. Not atypical for Patton lyrics, either.
I knew what it meant in 1990, and I kept singing along. Karaoke is not a crime. The subject matter, though, we can agree that's a crime and not okay, which is what makes the beauty of the music itself an artistic juxtaposition and redeems the song as edgy art. Golly I love that man as an artist. So dedicated, so talented, so not giving a fuck about trends or normalcy. He's amazing, as noted many times by better people than I.
Santa Ana winds gusting to 43 - Aunty Em!!!
That's the way I feel about the Kinks tune I posted (coincidentally called Art Lover), and I agree that good art should push the boundaries and provoke both thought and emotion.I still like it. It's fucking art, and art should deal with difficult topics from time to time.

Joy, Pain, Pleasure, Misery, Anger & Sorrow - there's a song for every emotional turn we experience as humans.
We use art to communicate with each other - political, religious, rebellious or about nothing at all.
@Inferno Mike - did NOT see that coming in your "Something Completely Different" post - well played sir!
