My seeds arrived today without a hitch. They will get wet by the weekend. Looks like about 18-20 beans. Nice dark seeds that are roughly half the size of average beans. I will split them in half, and will start the second half once the first batch breaks ground. Still undecided on my pollination plan. I was planning on collecting pollen from all the males, mixing it together and dusting the ladies wit it but, if most of my seeds germinate, I may just leave all males with the girls until pollination is complete. Germination rate will make the decision for me. :unsure:

I prefer keeping it as natural as possible too. Though, once the males are spent you'll see there's no reason to keep them all the way to the end of the females cycle. A week or two after blooming, sure, but six...nah.

Yeah, my dedicated space for this endeavor will be a bit tight [4x5] but I will pull the males as soon as they are spent and it will be a great fit. I chucked my fair share of crosses but this will be a serious shift. This is [preservation] a beautiful concept, I hope my efforts will be worthy. Seeds, seeds, seeds for all my friends!
Actually, seeds were last years secret Christmas presents. Nobody attempted to return any?

Yep, I don't expect 100% germination and after the males are finished, probably 8-12 girls left to go the distance. If they try to take over, I'll just put half the bred females in another tent to finish. As soon as they are big enough to clone, I'll clone away and everybody gets a time change. Not gonna try to save any smoke, all the ladies with be fully seeded. That should provide us with thousands of beans in the bank!

Nepal Highland #3 update, 8 of 10 popped in a day and a half. I popped the smaller beans first and they seem to have some vigor. I'll let the second half [10 beans] get wet in the morning. This could be exciting, I'll breath a sigh of relief after I see the third set of leaves. Then we'll have one hellava start.

Second set of larger beans starting to throw tails, but nowhere as vigorous as the first half. May need some hand holding to get started? Exact same conditions as run #1. Wait and see. The first batch [10] are doing well in 2x2 square pots about 24" away from full spectrum LED. After 3-4 decades, I'm still a nervous Nellie until the 3rd set. I don't stay nervous for long, I have medicine for that :cookies:.

Sounds like you got it started. Are you by chance going to be posting up some pictures periodically? Some of us like to come back and gawk at these fringe genetics that not everyone is growing.

Well brother,
I think I'll try to post up some pics. It is kinda a mental/ paranoia issue for me. I've spent most of my existence as a 'ghost', with the thinking that, once you show your grow, there's no unseeing it. I have my old cell with which I'll take pics as it no longer has service. Just making sure security remains high. I guess for this marvelous site, I will make some exceptions. I'll post pics as they go into 1 gallon pots.
I decided to run these in 2 gallons, all plants in 4x5 room with around 3k Watts in LED full spectrum. All males will participate and then be removed once I determine they have done their duty. I will take clones for later use but, this run will be fully seeded. Beans, beans, always good, they'll be enough for the whole darn hood!!!

Just an fyi on the pics, and security.
You can go into the phone settings and turn off any geo tag info for the pictures, and it should remove/not add any info to the picture other than date. Also regardless of that option, this forum has a site security feature that automatically scrubs any such data from the pics that get posted here.
You're anonymity is in a safe place here mang, just sayin. lol

Sorry my friends, it seems we will have 20 of 20 moving into the next phase!
All are in 2x2 pots, I'm thinking of unpotting them into 1 gallon next. Would like to finish in 2 gallon pots. At this point, I'll hope to have at least 6 males to use and remove. I have a few from my stable whom I'd hoped to sneak into the pollen party but, like I was sayin', Full house
