Man you guys got me going down memory lane....

In 1986 I lived in Texas, USA, me and some friends lived near a naval air station in the south part of the state, pretty close to the Mexican border, we had a grow of huge Mexican sativas outdoor in a lot right beside the base. In 1986 Ronald Reagan was president and the war on drugs was in full force. They had these huge airplanes with a giant rotating dish on top of them called AWACS...they would go patrol the gulf of Mexico looking for smugglers, we used to watch them take off while we tended our plants, LOL....you could see the fence of the base through the vegetation we were so close to the base!

We always got a kick out of watching those drug planes take off and land.

Things have changed a lot.
It sure was eventful back then!
I was about several miles with the 1st patch of 5 from their liftoff but was still within the No Fly Zone and can still remember that sound when they'd come out in the evening looking for that heat signature.
Running behind my scheduled departure time from my patches, I had to submerge myself completely one evening in the brook on the opposite side of a right hand bend, got under the overhanging roots and covered my head from the nose up with mud in hope to lower my signature as they passed low to the right.
lol There was a lot of leaches in those waters

Ya I donā€™t know, I think your remembering it wrong?
Iā€™m not sure about that,
Itā€™s living on the edge and the adrenaline rush.
Knowing that youā€™re exposable when the shit hits the fan that gets me High.
Now a days lifeā€™s quiet,
But still on high alert watching others.
My apologies, for getting wrapped up in the past. I suppose to be taking about growing.

I, for one, salute all your hard work during the "Just Say No" years. Most new growers nowadays are quick to dismiss the risks our forebearers ran just to grow a plant.

Welcome!
Isn't that the truth, The younger generations have had such liberty it's quite often taken for granted.
These days I find myself being called a hippy.

I remember I used to have to make multiple trips crossing over the river and driving right by the front doors to the local PD.
My Square box 8' Bed would be over filled with industrial contractor bags ratcheted down.
Looked like I was doing a Dump Runs except it would be late at night when things in town got Quiet.
Couldn't see out the back window even if you wanted too. lol
Used to laugh every time I drove by, man did it smell like WEED!

Oh the good ol gurilla growing days , oh how I missā€¦ notā€¦.Omg 3rd year I tried to do gurilla growing , so previous 2 the deer ate the plants before we could even get em to flower stage.. 3rd year we had flower stage before death ( we still kids eh) anyways we go out there after sunset to water and check on em. these plants were planted on edge of a swamp land hidden behind some nasty/pricier weed treeā€™s . well we walked out there and got semi close we could see a light . Thereā€™s no houses out here.. than we are super quiet and walk up to hear/see there was multiple dudes around a fire chilling. we backed away but for w/e reason one of the dudes with them wasnt by the fire and heard us and said ā€œ thereā€™s those pot farmersā€ we ran sooo fucking fast and they had beam lights chasing us down like prisoners lol šŸ˜‚ . I def can see when your the prey ur gonnea be faster if u canā€¦

we were a few ft away from them by the time we both just jumped into the swamp area mud/water and tried to cross it. the hunters/w/e they are started yelling ā€œ shoot emā€ and a few moments later we heard shotguns and guns being fired. They shot at us but my guess it was def to scare us. Hope so?

well we ran our asses home and after that year, hey no more gorilla growing lol šŸ˜†
