Question about rules

I was pondering something to myself. in the site rules it says if you ask for your account to be deleted it may not be for thread continuation. What if a member gets into legal trouble due to this hobby of ours (because let's face it not all of us live in legal states). Those posts can be used as evidence. In a case like that would an account deletion still not be allowed?

Yeah, anyone using gmail or instagram or any service offered by BIg Tech is already completely compromised, as far as I'm concerned. Your contacts, photos, and pretty much anything you've typed, even if you deleted it before posting, are all on a hard drive somewhere, as part of your file.

I always assumed that young folks would lead the privacy charge, but they all grew up in a connected world and most never even consider privacy or security until it is an issue. It's us old farts who grew up in the Cold War who seemed to be keeping healthy skepticism alive.

Been using them (proton)for yrs, just don't ever forget your password. You can reset the password like all email apps, but you lose all old emails permanently once you do.
Ask me how I know. 🤣🤣🤣

Nope.

Tools from EFF's Tech Team has handy info/tools, like Atlas of Surveillance (it can be broken, have to use the map or do state search not by city) and Cover Your Tracks
If you made your account without a vpn, pH can't do anything about it either as it's your isp that would have logged the initial traffic when you accessed the site. but still worth working on lowering how unique your browser/activity looks to the world, the less unique your print the better, for all your activity.

Nope.

I mean if you're already going that route, you could just install OpenBSD on your Computer, and encrypt literally everything. Not as "user friendly" as some would like, but, it's pretty tight on the lock downs. The gov uses BSD to run the machines that control the phone lines. Phones don't go out very often, and that's why.
