I did some of my best grows with a 600 hps I like this kind of journal the family that grows together stays together !!!I
That's what I was thinking too. We only have 72 inches of headspace so we'd have to train and scrog to keep the canopy under control. I used a 600w back in 16 with good results, I just couldn't grow more than a medium size plant, which is fine. Quality is more important plus the HPS will help keep our basement warm this winter.
I did a little digging.
I've had bad luck hanging below 65* in high humidity, those were the only times I've ever gotten bud rot going on was when it was chilly and humid like that. We're having to switch our plans up a bit. Here's why.... our dry tent is in our basement. With all the lights and the dehumidifier set to 50% the temps are getting up to 87° lights on and we're only about to get it down to 77° lights off. Them are horrible drying conditions. So the autos we were about to start in our upstairs closet will be started later with everything else so we can use that closet for proper drying. We'll be ordering a vivosun 4" inline fan filter combo tomorrow along with a mini dehumidifier and a jar of Onablock. With the temps falling and a few tools we should have temps in the 60's and Rh 55-60%. I can't let all this nice flower turn to hay.
Also, I'm at about 75% strength wise. Shit still hurts but on a way more tolerable level. I can finally garden on my own again now that my wife is back to work.
