Smoke's Grow & Show

Kerosene Kermits are growing slowly but surely, right now I'm keeping them covered and have my light set to half power as not to harm them.

Last night I did some LST on the GSC x Face Off plants, I used plant wire for one and the rest plastic LST clips. One plants fan leaves are a tad burned from letting it get too close to the light in my other tent but she'll bounce back.

Germination rate so far:
Blurred (2 of 3)
Runtz Fast Fem (2 of 3)
White Space (2 of 3)
Star Cookies (0 of 2)

I'll probably pop more seeds to make up for those that didn't sprout.

Hope the Star Cookies make it, pictures below from the last time I grew it. It developed a thick main bud, smoke was good too.

I hope you guys are enjoying my content.

Don't be shy when it comes to asking me questions, I'll try to answer to the best of my abilities. I don't mind helping other growers, we all gotta start some where.

What I realized in this hobby is that it's a constant learning experience, I've been doing this off and on since I was 14/15 years old and I still learn new things every day.

My main focus is growing my medicine but eventually I want to step it up to breeding and creating my own strains.

I've become set in my ways, growing wise. I pick up the odd tip, usually in unexpected places, but at least 95% of my interactions on here are more about fellowship than growing.

I think for a lot of us on here, it's just about hanging with peers in a place with minimal bullshit. Some guys have specialized interests in areas of cultivation, like organics or tissue culture or IPM, but a lot of the conversations tend to be about music or fishing or pets or food.

I've found with my journal, unless I'm growing something or trying something specific that others are interested in, there isn't a lot of action. It bugged me for a while, but then I thought about how little time I spent in other's journals. 🤷‍♂️

I've said before that these days I see my journal more as a personal record that I review on occasion, and that interactions beyond that are a nice bonus. I guess it's also kind of a portfolio others can review while deciding if my opinions are worth listening to. ;)

TLDR: don't let it bug you if you're not seeing a lot of action in this thread, it is still valuable, to you and to others

Hey smoke,

What company made those GSC X Face Off? Do you know which GSC cut was used?

I have enjoyed both Samoas and Scooby Snacks by Archive which are (I think) forum and platinum cut gsc X Face Off. And I know there is another cross with Thin Mint GSC.

Mostly just smoked buds from them. Only grew 2 Scooby Snacks seeds as those were all I had of those. :)

Loved the flavor and the stone was on point. Good weed!

The clones came from Graveinnovation Seeds on Strainly. He also made the White Space strain I'm gonna be running. The GSC is Berner's cut and the Face Off is from Archive Seeds.

It doesn't bother me, I notice it's mostly the same group of guys I have interactions with and that's fine too. It seems people are more welcoming here than the larger forums I've been apart of.

Here's my smallest tent in action.
I had to dig out some struggling sprouts and bring them closer to the surface.

Blurred 3/3
Runtz Fast 3/3
White Space 2/3
Star Cookies 0/2

Freaky looking, right? Lol

The two White Space both have a strange discoloration of it's tips. None of the other sprouts have this.

Also to elaborate on my previous reply, I also like this place because I feel like I have nothing to prove here. There's a lot of pretentious growers out there who feel like everything is a competition. I'm not like that, I just genuinely enjoy the hobby and it gives me something to do with my spare time, the harvest is just an added benefit.

Threw the 250 watt LED in the midget tent 🎪

20231030_134110.jpg

What I like about these lights is that you can put the driver outside the tent to help keep things cooler

20231030_134154.jpg

No special ventilation, just two cheap Amazon fans for circulation. Someone 3D printed the mounting brackets for me.

Here's an update on how the Kerosene Kermit autos are doing. They seem to be growing rather slowly, but I believe that's just the plant doing it's thing - spreading out it's roots and adhering it self the large final pot.

Soaking these freebies, looks like a great strain with some very interesting parents involved.

So here's the current count for the midget tent which I'll be referring to as the "Test Tent" from now on. I'm just winging it and popping extra seeds I don't mind losing to test the waters.

Blurred 1/3
Runtz Fast 1/3
White Space 2/3
Jacks Peaches 1/1
Guava Glue 2/2 *New Addition*

I've run a handful of different RAB crosses, not this particular one although I do have a pack or two. They've all be really nice. Haven't found a bad plant yet. Coville blueberry x RAB and Ma Gooey x RAB are my favorites so far. What am I saying, the Stardawg x RAB is fabulous also.

Looking forward to the show.
