That wind was howling sideways last night, I was double toque'n it !

Ya, it’s relentless up here too…??
I try to hide between bails feeding in the mornings! Kinda tricky getting the hay on the sled otherwise….lol

Looking at the positives, the snow doesn’t walk through walls like the prairie dust does! So there is that… ?
And though I don’t doubt they exist “somewhere”, I still haven’t seen a “snow mite”!…??

It is winter here in california too. They told aus to brace for an epic winter storm, here is what we got... View attachment 145457

Hey in Texas that's a school closed event there!

I admit though that when I was younger, we had to have 6 inches of snow to have a snow day for school, and now.... It depends on conditions and sometimes they cancel school for what seems like very little snow fall LOL.

Don't get me wrong; That temp SUCKS. But, no spider mites LOL. For real though when it's like that (Which is a lot more rare here) the idea is to sit with the Wood Stove blazing and me blazing most of the day. I guess it's better than 120 degrees haha.
Ya, I would be blazing either way, only this way I don’t have to be in water up to my neck hiding from the sun lol
And still no snow mites!.. maybe they are just late on their migration? Lol

What? Your not out ice fishing?…lol jk
Nah, taking a little break. Into the city tomorrow and then back on the ice on Sunday.

You are more central, right? Like Red Deer region?
It's interesting, all the little climates in Alberta depending on the mountain topography to the West, like that stretch around Bowden where the wind is always howling and the highway is always icy.

Essentially for a few months a year, our area looks kinda like one of your strains in flower :)

LOL yeah I haven't personally seen a mite take on Winter as of yet. You know I've read on Indian Landrace Exchange that there is a region of Afghanistan where the only precipitation that falls is generally snow. I'm not sure if it's a grow region but those Indica plants there do seem to have a great way of dealing with the cold haha.

45 mins north west of the deer. between Lacombe and Stettler…
And ya, there are many many micro climates here in AB for sure!..
Its pretty much always windy here too.. We could easily challenge Lethbridge for the ‘Windy City’ tittle, if only we had a city! lmao?

Wouldn't that be northeast? Or am I mixed up?
My parents both grew up out along Highway 13 past Camrose but I grew up in the trees. I get twitchy when I get out into the flatlands.

You should be out on Sylvan or Gull or Buffalo. Lots of ice fishing opportunities near you. ;)
