Sin City Juice was the first strain to leave the seedling trays. 24 hours to cotelydon leaves!
Looks like 100% germination across the board

Youre 100% correct on backcrossing and why to do it. When you BX (to the original parent), you are basically trying to lock in and narrow down traits exhibited from the child plant that was essentially passed on from the parent. When you BX, you are narrowing that gene pool resulting in fewer phenos expressed from the parent plant. Not to say that there wont be any variances, but there should be fewer on every BX offspring if you are BX'ing correctly to the original parent strain and not the last parent that the seed came from. If you do it to the last parent that the seed came from, you arent really locking anything in because there is new traits being introduced and phenos will be a plenty with every offspring made (similar to an F2 and how that opens the "treasure chest" of phenos to be found).Just keeping track of some stony thoughts here ...
But if any of you experienced breeders want to put in your two cents ...
I find it interesting that the Romulan BX4 has shown the greatest difference in phenos right off the bat when it's been backcrossed so many times ... I thought the point of backcrossing was to stabilize the strain ... guess I have a lot to learn.
Two are tearing along, one died at birth, and the last one is super runty. When I was just transplanting the runt's roots had barely broken through the rapid rooter, while the other two had roots filling their whole pots.
With only two good Roms I'm really hoping for a perfect 50% split at this point haha ... also probably means my plan to fem the Roms will get kicked down the road a bit
The tent will flip to 12 hours darkness tonight so we're on our way to seeing what we got.

I'll definitely take that advice under consideration ... the inner fan leaves were actually removed right after that photo so we were already on the same page there!Only thing I’d do is take some bamboo stakes and open up that canopy a bit. Maybe defoliate a few Inner facing fan leaves
oh yeah you're right it is pretty tight in there. What size tent you got coming?
Said the guy, with no bunnies.there's a damn potting soil shortage

Get jiggy with it.
Come horseshits ‘ n crushed brick - don’t stop that train of inferno.
Also really happy to see the survivor Romulan. There was a time when “a good Rom’n” meant more than a bowl of noodles.
???
The palest, most insignificant seed, slow popped and stalled for a full week, in my garden.
Grew into the sexiest beast. I will keep that ‘ Jack Futero’ as long as I can.
,,,and reported directly to the Mephisto compliant tray,,,didn't like the change to 12/12 ...
