So I'm about to get into the tents for the nightly chores but wanted to give some thoughts on Kokusho for
@Phylex and anyone else following along while their bouncing around in my head...
So Kokusho #1 as expected really isn't anything too special. It's good, for certain, but the incredibly low yield really holds it back and the terps are kind of just generic sweet smelling weed with a taste to match.
Kokusho #3 is much better. A complex piney, gas and chocolate smell and flavor. Another low yielder but still in the range of perfectly acceptable. Excellent bag appeal. Bunches of perfectly formed, thumb size nugs that are a pale green with ample frost. The high is a nice, mellow stone that seems like it would be good for anxiety or as a day time wees. But it doesn't quite make the cut as a keeper for me. I like a little more oomph from my smoke. I'm currently waffling on running the reveg again (side note, this thing revegged really easily). I'd love to give it another run but I'm really short on space right now.
Kokusho #2 is special. It's my favorite strain to smoke right now. The flavor and terps are so unique. As mentioned before, it's like a rich coffee, with undertones of chocolate and I think more raspberry than strawberry actually. It's not sweet at all and I feel like saying strawberry gives the idea of sweet. The high is powerful, energetic and cerebral. It's the kind of weed that gets you working on projects you forgot about. The buds are a really appealing pale, dark green with purple undertones. The lower buds are even more purple. Still not a huge yielder but definitely the best of the three. Definitely keeping this cut around for a while assuming this reveg works out. It seems to be, but not quite as well as #3 (of course...)
