It does not take long before they bust out of those zip ties :ROFLMAO: . I was using them for a while to reduce stretch on some gear i was running.
Yea, I'm gonna need to adjust them a few times. It's kinda like topping? Those little bushy leaves under the zipped up leaves should get some major development, I hope to see some changes as early as tomorrow on the bigger ones that have roots hitting water.

I may use the zip ties coming up on my next round ( all seed plants) to try to control some stretch on some if necessary. The last time i tried it i was lucky to get 24 hrs before they would bust out of the ties. Trying to get the new tent acclimated for the plants i am getting ready to put in there. Lots of environment issues to work thru. Tried a full blast test with the new light and produced quite a bit of heat. Lots of tinkering to do!

I tell ya, that gorilla is eons ahead of the others. And the headspace is so nice, not just for growth, but also for me to get in and adjust things without having to stoop the whole time (kills my back, can only stand doing that for a few min). I'm also finding that I can control the environment better. Starting to play with VPD. It's challenging but the plants seem to be responding very positively. I need a bigger humidifier that will last a day. Remote would be better so I can adjust at lights out if needed.

I have a small 1 gallon sunbeam that i just put in the new tent. I think on low it will go 18 hrs. Got my humidity up to 60% but still playing with it. I got my light pretty low right now and it sucks getting in there. This is my first go with a tent and there is a lot to get used to. Only having the four corner poles sure limits how you can position the clip on fans unless i am missing something.

I don't show it, but I hang a Honeywell upside down by the base and swivel it so it blows straight down. It's using the same bar as the CMH. They are  so I can't get a pic right now.
I have 2 clip ons, I don't like them because they can pop out of the base pretty easy. Maybe need to duct tape it or something. Using them cuz it's what I got.
One Honeywell at the 8" intake on the bottom. Exhaust at top. Pantyhose on ducting. Sucks through there and out the filter. I've been using the intake and exhaust fans as the throttle when the lights go out and the humidity spikes 20 pts. It's why I think having a remote for the humidifier would be a third throttle mechanism to help dial it in. If not then I can play with the dial and just use the fans to throttle. At least that's what I'm thinking as of today lol ?

I can slide the bar side to side. It moves along with the CMH, but has a separate ratchet so I can raise and lower as needed. If a certain area of the tent needs more airflow down the line (say with bigger colas that could be more susceptible to PM) I could point it more in that direction. The upper right is the duct borrowing a bit of the house AC.

@spyralout did someone have like a 20" box fan hung from the ceiling like that? I am fairly concerned at this point about being able to pull the heat from the tent with my carbon filter down on the deck. Was thinking about possibly putting a box fan up on the ceiling. I can live with a little heat as long as i can keep the air moving good.

yes that was Big Perm. Would definitely cover more area. I'm half thinking of getting another Honeywell to put on the other side of the bar so there is one on either side of the CMH. It's actually a surprisingly strong fan, I've always liked these. I have one on the bottom 8" blowing in fresh air.

We're looking at installing a ceiling fan in the bedroom. There's not much clearance left to the tent and the current light dome is on an angled ceiling. I have the LED bars only at 50% right now. Hopefully it won't get too much hotter when I crank em to 100 in a bit, cuz VPD is pretty steady in the 5x5.

That sounds like a good idea on putting the second honeywell up there. Might just need it when you crank those lights up. I was thinking a 20" box fan above the light would knock some serious heat off of that beast light i built. When i first fired it up in the tent i was only running the center light at almost 400 watts. The tent got pretty warm with just that one on. I did a short full throttle run and went into the 90's pretty quick. Just a new environment that will take a lot of tuning

Yea, that thing is a beast all right. And it's all LED too! Damn lol. Might wanna consider a Jesse style water cooled rig, especially for space? That's a hot ass engine stuffed in a box, might need a radiator.

This is the tail end of Week 1 in veg, going into Week 2. Right at the point where the roots hit water. VPD in the zone. I'm really liking the results.

Very James Bond on the splash page!

I think dstroy has a great handle on vpd, based on convo with him I have a few questions for you.
What values are you targeting?
Are these values typically greater than or less than the ambient environment eg. room?
Specifically with rh is the value you are targeting greater or less than the outside environment? Or are you running sealed with co2?
Leaf temp or air temp?
What is your elevation or current absolute barrometric pressure? Not relative as reported by most news outlets, sometimes reffered to as station pressure.
Unrelated - Chance of changing "got a question?" to "have a question?"

Looking happy n healthy @spyralout
Is that Schwaggy's Green Crack?
No, it's Humboldt Seed Organization. Schwaggy's was good, the plant I grew had some issues (my fault) but it powered through and gave me some sweet sweet smoke that I'm toking on this AM :) His started to smell like the mango in flower, but it turned to garlic-onion-leather, then curing it is now sweet-sweet. I believe he bred for different characteristics vs. the Green Crack pHeno that is aka "Cush" with a "C" - I'm not sure if that's what I'm growing right now, but we shall see.
