Thanks for the tip Deebs ? I was trying to keep it all as cheap as possible and reusing as many things that I already had. I figured, why not use the old RDWC buckets with the 1-1/2" holes out of each side. They had no problem leaking water out everywhere in my tent lol, so I figured the holes would be enough. Next run I am going to drill holes in the bottom so I don't have to lift and tilt to the side to let it run through to each bucket.

Since I am not doing the mixing in the bags, then how would I pre-chill water in the buckets? The water just runs through. It doesn't sit in the buckets long enough to have anything pre-chilled.
It may not make sense the way you run didnt catch on that you were using a machine. I only have a 3 bag set that nest inside each other and I have a working bucket with the icewater and bags and drain buckets with a little ice in the bottom, any drain water gets reworked in the multiple washes. I use a working bag a spoon and a bucket (lol you thought you were cheap) definitely going to insulate my working bucket now though.

I am frugal, but I'm also looking for efficiency and convenience. That first run got us 20g, with a combined time of 20 min load/wash. There are definitely improvements to be had in the bucket/screen part.

I'm not using the bags in the washing machine, but yes I was watching for that as I lifted buckets to let water seep through. Good lookin out (y)
I meant it will flake into the wash you are currently using in that bag and has the potential to make it to the next bag in the series. The bag I pictured is what I call my "beater" bag for the initial seperation from plant material. I was never rough with it either. Lightly agitated with a smooth 25yr old wooden dead blow handle so I could sit my lazy ass in a chair while doing it lol.

3x3 F&D Tent (before flip)

Alien Chemdawg #2

This thing is just going absolutely nuts. Like it's some sort of monster plant in a horror movie. I will take a cut of this...

Greases Pieces #2 - 3Thirteen Seeds - @HydroRed

...and a cut of this...still going strong. She may have come in 2nd or 3rd to qualify for the pH Showcase Grows Comp, but she is working to secure a spot in the stable.

Girl Scout Cookies #1 - Cali Connection

well, she came outta nowhere. What a pretty, uniform plant. She didn't get the "samurai ponytail" treatment like the two above, so she has that slight advantage in the aesthetics dept. I think I'll take a cut of this one too just in case.

These plants have had about a week of hogging my only humidifier. They were stalling pretty hard before getting this. Witnessing first hand what VPD can do.

Digging the white buckets. Looking niiice in here.
Ever better.

Thanks man. They look a little bedhead unruly, but doing great. Two hydro systems, two different size tents, that run and act very differently. I let them have the little humidifier, and man it's doing wonders. I put it in there the same day I let their hair down. They were looking a bit dry, that barebulb CMH is one intense MF. Working the VPD has really helped. What I don't like is this humidifier has a green glow on the knob, so it's a potential source of fookery. I've noticed that I need to have the exhaust fan on lightly when the lights are on so it draws the humidity up instead of just staying low, while not sucking all of the humidity out if too high. Once the lights go out, I have to turn the humidifier down or it will spike to 90%+ within a few minutes. Good ol' AC Infinity alarm!

I like the ac infinity product just wish they made components (heater, humidifier, dehumidifier, inlet air sensor) to manage the set points instead of just relying on airflow.

I wouldn't doubt if that's coming. They recently started making black ducting (REALLY GOOD btw), some smaller computer fan type units, and other things. At first I thought they were a bit pricey, but after experiencing iPower and Vivosun fans, the price is worth it for not too much more, and when you consider the Temp/Humidity is built in for those particular units, no need to buy a separate temp/humidity gauge, they've been pretty close when compared to a Thermopro IME.

tip: wrap that machine you used in bubble insulation wrap if you haven't already ~ ice is only there to keep it cold. too much ice ..crunching ..more plant matter.. if you can keep temps cold with less ice you will get less plant matter also.

I use a wash bag, has mixed reviews but did well. layered ice/material/ice/material till half full threw in washer..

Right O ! Definetly pre chill buckets I was thinking of a bucket of ice water with a water pump running out a sprayer head for cleaning...
Funny you should say that. Lol.
Ice on top, and ice in the bottom.

Still gotta put the tutorial thread together, thing works wonderfully. Lol
Citrus Milf on the left, a bit darker.
Jenny on the right, quite blond.

About 15 grams when dry.
I typically make my hash from dried cured material, that is prefrozen for the wash.

RDWC 5x5 - Amherst Sour Diesel back row, Green Crack front row (about 3 days after flip)

Even after some topping, I may need to do more.

This was easier to get to than the back row. Green Crack #1:

UV and chiller so far. No bennies, hydroguard, H2O2, UC Roots, etc.

Looks a bit more cleaned up

Took off most of the viney branches and some fan leaves. Was able to get in there by temporarily transplanting the middle plant to a spare bucket. Once the net is set up that won't happen so easily.

My mom is the OG Greenthumb. She can grow and salvage anything from the tiniest of growth. The one thing that she doesn't grow is Cannabis, because of the negative stigma that she's seen over the years with all of the 1980's Say NO To Drugs (D.A.R.E.) campaigns. Well, I can certainly fill that void ;) Her entire garden, which spreads all over the front and back yard, is absolutely gorgeous, especially during bloom time. I visited her today and here are a couple of pics. I will try to grab more when I can.

20200606-Canna.jpg
This is "Canna [Indica]". Funny, the main plant that stuck out to me due to the structure and "groovy" veins has a name that is closest to our beloved plant. I guess you eat the roots of these? This is just a tiny sample of her garden, she has stuff all over the place. It's not chaotic by any means. It's like a "nature takes its course, within guidance boundaries" type of garden. One of the main aspects of her gardening is that it's 100% Organic (she doesn't buy or use any nutes, pesticides, anything). She has some really nice heirloom tomatoes plumping up, I should grab a pic of those next time.

She said this is Tiger Lily. It's common, but man it's still so pretty in bloom.
