Faa is less mess than fish hydrosolate.
Faa is 1 part fish bits, I found a,fish monger place near mates place in melb and they filled a 5 gallon bucket for us.
Faa is fish scraps or fish chopped up. Finer the chop up the quicker the decomposition.
I did 1 part fish to 1 part raw sugar/brown sugar but I did read you could use 1/2 weight of fish for sugar. When it's done leave enough sugar to cover and then put lid on.
Fish hydrosolate is same fish guts heads etc.
1/3 weight of fish to 2/3 water. You can follow the recipe exactly that is online everywhere or this. I'm a bit more blase
Think of chef, splash of this etc.
Put 2/3 water volume in. Add a splash of molasses for every gallon of water. Same goes with labs. Add splash of labs to every gallon of water. Drop fish in. Get a half of pineapple if you want it to break down faster. Think one month compared to 6-12.
The bromelian in pineapple helps break down things faster. Cap but you need an air lock. Think brewers air cap of you can run an air line into a jar filled with water. Two holes, in cap, one inlet into water and another for gas to bubble out of.
Very easy to make. Soaking oats and compost together with faa or fish hydrosolate gives a massive boost to fungal populations. Think microbe city.
Put them behind you shed or inside.
Both don't smell whilst they are cooking as they are sealed. Hope it helps
As for you ramjet you cheeky bastard, thanks for the levity. In times like these I need to laugh. Took my boys fishing last and a lovely 5kg kingy swam under the pier next to boys little kmart rods. Oldest rod buckled 5 mins after and it took off under the pylons. Smart kingy. Line snapped couple mins into it. Kids were stoked yet gutted. Let's go fishing tomorrow after school again dad. As long as you eat all your lunch and quickly do your homework we are on.
