Had to knock down this Mai Tai Pie, it’s a week older and was running away from the rest of the pack. This one and the other pictured both seem to go to sleep an hour or two before lights out, they’re both very vigorous growers too. Always perked back up in the morning. Another note on the Mai Tai Pie’s, they’re pretty strong smelling already, getting a bit excited for them.

Not sure I’ve smelled a stronger flower scent than what these Brugmansia’s put out. I can just imagine in its native land where it grows into trees how heavenly the air must smell. Love having it flower inside, smells up the whole place. I bury the pot in the ground outside for the summer and it sent a tap root through the hole in the pot. Latched on pretty good too cause it snapped off when I dug it up to bring inside. Was a lot fuller in the leaf dept. Put it under some weak fluorescents that seems to be triggering flowering.

Figured out why a couple of the Mai Tai Pie have been drooping before lights out. Noticed a couple other plants starting to look stressed a bit, very slight yellow tint and a little droopy, went investigating. Somehow my light got turned up to like 95%. Turned it down to 55-60%, today things look greener and much perkier. Plants didn't droop before bed last night either. Just getting too much light.

One of them fancy controllers sure is sounding nice. With the cold weather and snow setting in having a little trouble keeping everything in the zone. Exhaust needs to be on sometimes but not all the time.

These sure don’t look like female parts to me. Should probably pull it as it is sharing an earth box with another plant. Not quite sure just yet, what do you guys think? Pulling and chopping plants is so hard for me, something I need to get over.

Just love em all so much.
Me too.
This first pic looks boy to me. Monitor n see imho
This second pic looks likely girl though. Monitor n see imho.

Honestly it looks like a male to me, with the shape, but, I'm not sure I'd pull it these days.
Pretty sure it's male, looks kinda like a pointy dick to me, so yeah.
There's no rush. Lots of time yet before it would be an issue, so continue to monitor would be my thought.

(reluctance to cull is a common affliction. ;) )
The only issue is they both seem to be growing slower than some other plants I have that sprouted at the same time. Other than them being different strains, the only real difference is they are sharing a container, the others are not. They look good and healthy, just growing a little slower. Maybe chalk that up to different strains. Definitely not worried about it dropping pollen any time soon, these are still on 16 hours of light, around 40 days from sprout.

Thanks for the advice guys, going to let it go a bit longer.

Never tried two plants in the same container before, the earth boxes say they can support more than one plant, so I figured I'd give it a try. Not sure I'm liking it so far. Not for regs anyway.

Yeah bro, I used to just toss males, but... I can't anymore lol. I let too many good ones pass me.
I let one really nice, unique looking male from the Garlic Breath x Mother of all cherries go this past summer. I regretted it soon after I chopped it. Most of my seed making in the past has been on accident. Just in the last couple years have I started to pay attention to different strains and where the pollen is going. The quality is improving in the process. This forum has helped me tremendously. Many thanks to all the fine people in this community.

Might as well get things started off with what I have in my tents now. I have a 2x4 with Trizzlers that's a week from chop, also have a 3x3 that's full of lemon dosidope, there's also an empty 2x2 that I still need a good light for. Some Pics?

Trizzlers - Twenty20, funny she doesn't look so yellow with my own eyes. 75 days in pic. Had some pollen in the freezer from a sunshine #4 Bx that I touched to a few bud sites. I've never tried frozen pollen so don't know if it'll take or not. My outdoor growing season is too short for most plants so it's a great thing when I find early finishers. Hoping I could use some autos for breeding but I may have to perfect a pollen storage method first.

Lemon dosidope - Briscoe's Bargain Beans, smells so amazing at 5 weeks. very oily/greasy

Next to the Trizzlers I have a Ma Gooey X Runaway Bride from Bad Dawg that is finished mainling, ready to veg. And two beans soaking from the family home grown stash that I've been wanting to try, they'll replace the trizzlers.

Not sure what I'll put in the 3x3 when the dosidope is done. Have so, so many seeds. Have jars of seeds from over the years. My dad used to get GG4 a lot and I've been craving it, love it. I have some beans from Tony Greens called Gorilla Waves, I think those might be the ones I go with. Then again, I grew a killer bubblegum plant over the summer that I put some pollen to, got 8 seed I have to try out soon. The father was a really pretty, nice smelling Money Shot from MMS. Had 3 money shot plants and all were male so not sure what to expect. The bubblegum was kind though, hard to believe her babies wouldn't be great also.

Thanks for looking guys, Catch ya later,
JP

I've done the ma gooey x rab and yes, it's so good. Had one plant I didn't care for until it was cured a bit, but I've loved every one I've grown. Very strong sturdy plants too. I call it my stupid weed cause it make me stupid. I lose stuff, forget where I'm going, it's an ugly site but I love the way it makes me feel. Great for relaxing.

Actually, all the Run Away Bride crosses I've grown have been great. Can't recall a bad plant.

Thanks dude. These are just preflowers on a young plant so yeah, I shouldn't even be worried about it. Kinda regretting planting two plants in the same container. It's actually the better looking of the two in my opinion so, good advice.
Just recently I misjudged the preflowers, looked boy til I flipped it. Then she showed me I was wrong. Lol. Looked super similar to that second pic.

It's happened to me before also. As long as they both keep looking good, I'm just going to wait until I know for sure. First plant with preflowers out of 11 that all sprouted right around the same time. Would love to see it throw a hair out of one of those spots.

Not looking to keep any males this round, no place to keep them away from the girls, don't want any seeds from this run, have enough seeds to keep me busy for a long time. Really good mix too.

Thanks for your thoughts, it's very much appreciated.
