Fizzy, Effervescent, Soda ....

I've been seeing a lot of breeders describe their gear as either "Fizzy, Effervescent, or Soda".
I didn't know CO2 had a flavor ?.

Can anyone explain what terps make up a carbonated flavor profile ?
No strain names please as theres plenty that claim it. I just want to know what plain CO2 tastes like

Yes.
Because soda pop is laden with phosphoric acid the initial mouthfeel is a slightly sharp burn followed by a tongue tingling effect of a sweeter aftertaste.
Hot and spicy intake, with menthol/camphor linger.

Maybe i wasn't clear enough in my question.
Colas have P-acid. Not plain soda. And they aren't using the 3 words together some strains say fizzy, others say effervescent or soda.
Im not referring to things like cherry soda or grape fizbo. Thats self explanatory. Sorry for not putting that up top

What spices? Hindu , hazey or just hot chili?

My guess is that they're referring to the nice tingling sensation in your nose that some types have. But thats not a flavor nor terp. Just a great feeling that certain smokes give me.

I have grown purple punch a few times...and 2 of the times it went grape soda.

Like the tickle in your nose of bubbles from a grape jones soda...with that sour grape...i think its a sour note like sour D that really sharpens that soda effect.

It would be AWESOME if you could get that with...indiana bubblegum....but i am pretty high...and that just sounds tasty.

And i have not had that grape soda pheno for 4 or 5 phenos now...it is a variable (last round it was grapes and PINE...weed is awesome).

You are making the CO2 association, but that is not the only association for those descriptors, it does not have to refer to liquid or carbonation.
Soda.....well, I'd be expecting a "certain" flavor that would taste like a commercially available product. Like Grape Nehi or something like that.
Fizzy the same thing...that it tastes like a fizzy candy.........pick your flavor
Effervescent..well you got me there but I never shop in the effervescent aisle anyway

One of my first grows from bag seed produced a female that was dead on cherry coke... so we named it Cherry "Cola" Smelled completely different than everything else from those seeds too.
