[Smoke_A_Lot]

I loved the Blue Dream going around Detroit like 10 years ago, but after we went full legal, finding it in a dispensary was just... Sad.... The taste wasn't anywhere near as good, and neither was the smell OR the effects. It was a let down to see it like that really.

First time I had blue dream it was amazing!
it made me feel giddy/delirious like I was soaring - it felt like a dream. Sadly every other blue dream I smoked since didn't live up to that first experience - so I'm not a huge fan.

Maybe I'm a little bias but once I hear the word "Blue Dream" my subconscious screams "MIDS!!!"

Now I'm not shitting on anyone if that's their favorite strain, different strokes for different folks.

I'm still a big Purple Diesel fan, my buddy had a nice cut for years and i always enjoyed his organic cultivation. never got to run her myself.

I really loved Blooms Strawberry Pie, kept a few phenos around before i lost them.

Lately i've been craving this one pheno of Gushers/Zuchi x Black & Blissful from a recent hunt thats got this complex grape wrap aroma.

I still miss my Dirty Banana (kushmints x banana og) cut, that one was a fav.

the Lemon Alien Mintz my buddy found has been an awesome lemon terp plant to have around, great smoke.

Purple Voodoo was the best smoke i had out in cali years ago when i spent some time out there as a trimmigrant.

Puro Loco didnt produce well for me but the smoke was exceptional, plan to run more of those.

Blood Orange Strudel (Blood Orange x strudelbreath) my buddy Beanmill Genetics made really was the best sativa hybrid I grew in a long time. It improved the blood orange bag appeal with tighter frostier nugs and still stacked heavy on a sprawling plant. To me it smoked like a better trop cookie with that overwhelming tangie taste and a stronger sativa buzz. still bummed i lost her, my girl bothers me about it all the time lol.

You ever had Purple Chemdog ? I only got to try it for a short time. Wife and I were helping a medical grow with trimming duties, and as we went through all the stuff he had ran, I kept slowing down my pace sniffing stuff. I couldn't help it. One he had called Purple Sunset, smelled like Spaghetti Sauce... It was interesting, but we only had a little of that one, because once the Purple Chemdog was finished up, I pulled the owner aside and said "Hey man, serious question.... Is there any way that I can just get NOTHING but Purple Chemdog for pay?" and he was like "Honestly we have more of that than anything else, it produced really well" so he was happy too. I had probably half a pound of it by the end, but none of it lasted... I smoked a LOT of it. The smell was difficult to describe, though the grape / berry like aroma was easy to find, but there was this underlying scent that just.... Made my nipples hard smelling it, and the taste was amazing too. Half a pound gone in like a month? Yup, did that.

Found ONE...ONE seed in the whole stash... What did my dumb ass do ? Attempt to sprout it before I was, you know, better at sprouting. Never got a plant from it sadly. Haven't seen it since either.

I myself have eyeballed the Puro Loco many times. I'm a big Archive fan generally speaking, everything I've grown from them has exceeded expectations except White Gold, the description had me expecting the second coming of Jesus but it was just basically a great cookies cross, lol

Obviously some good cookie crosses and if ya get the real cut of girl scout cookies its also extremely good. I myself have eyeballed the Puro Loco many times. I'm a big Archive fan generally speaking, everything I've grown from them has exceeded expectations except White Gold, the description had me expecting the second coming of Jesus but it was just basically a great cookies cross, lol

the first seed run of em they were so runty i didnt clone any and fully regret it. Popped a second pack and managed to get a full batch of herms (likely my own issue). still so dank i copped a 3rd pack for when i get a chance!

I side with the old school strains, but one of the newer mixes that I really loved was a freebie from cannarado, lemon slushie, that's the lemon g x grape pie bx and damn does that lemon g come through in an amazing way, never smelled or tasted anything like it before. Sour diesel pretty much disappeared from the street because everybody wanted the cookies [Gelato, runts, cake, etc] bag appeal and flavor. So sour wasn't selling anymore, and it's either held so tightly, or mixed with something else. Yet every time karma releases more headbanger or SD bx1, they sell out in minutes but the bud never hits the street. We need that chem and gas back with that 4 hour stone. Isn't everybody tired of seeing every mother in the tent hit with runtz, Gelato, or any in house selection that only equates to the same bland 1 hour high? That's all that we ever see in the prohibition states and they are all flair but no bang. We don't even see pure OG anymore, just crosses. The pure forms are far stronger than anything on the table today.

Finally someone said it...Oh wait..Lots of ppl keep saying it but the cookies keep coming..The market always sets the rules.. Definitely some nice cookie hybrids but its COMPLETELY true about the short lived buzz..Personally ide love to see the Hazes make a big comeback within crosses..True solid hazes..More landrace sativa pollen upon some of these fancy cuts...The super silver haze cut I keep is a absolute damn powerhouse! Like make some of these new young 20 age cookie smokers sit in a corner and think about some shit for awhile..seen the fear written all over a few nephews faces more than once

I dunno, IMO some strains just fell off because they're an "acquired taste" to begin with. .. Cheese, Sour & also Skunk-----which my own theory on Skunk is a mass overfeeding of sulfurs on a massive scale, like sulfurs were the cal-mag of the 80's people simply couldn't grow weed without them 🤷🏻‍♂️ just a theory based on everything I've read.. .. anyways. ..

Cookies was an inevitability, let's face it 🤷🏻‍♂️ I think the overall market is so saturated with hits & misses, it's easy to get lost in the shuffle from both a consumer and a grower's standpoint. For me personally, the REAL heaters lie not in the oldschool strains, not so much in the new hype but often somewhere in between. I show respect for classic autos but man I sure love my 2019 hatchback with navigation and bluetooth 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 lol. I feel largely the same way about cannabis; ai love and respect the classics but fully recognize the newest heat 🔥🔥🔥

GSC and GMO. I honestly have yet to try another one I care about at all. The first one, regular GSC, is the one that I found in Detroit back some years ago, and it was actually REALLY good. Then I found GMO which, is that crossed into Chem D, so, kind of a no brainer that I'd love that. I've had a bunch of others but they suck so bad you'd think they were Vacuums. Kirby Cookies.

Yeah, I know what you mean... I haven't even been inside a dispensary in like 3 years. Last time I went in, I went specifically for some Afghan Blanket, and then, I see how they didn't have any left from what a guy told me, and I was just.... Annoyed. Both are amazing! I ran them both this season outside, and not only did I see the usual Cheese style colas and tops, but, MAN are they good. Dead Whabbits is Cheetos X Carcass Skunk, and it's delicious! I think Santero is starting his next round of Cheetos this month, so they should be around again soon. I recommend both.
